This mod for the game "Space Hulk Ascension" creates new playing experiences by redesigning all Chapters so they play in different and unique ways.
Installation:
This mod requires beta version 1.4.2b2-14263 "public_test" of Space Hulk Ascension. Do not use it with the non-beta version of the game. Go to Space Hulk Ascension/Properties/Beta tab to install the beta version. Also see the picture at the end of this text.
Short version
Unpack the archive into your game diectory. That should place all files in the correct locations.
Long version
Files need to be in the following directories:
file directory
*.assets game_Data
level* game_Data
*.dll game_Data\Managed
*.png game_Data\StreamingAssets
For standard installations, the game directory is in this location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Space Hulk Ascension

Now that Ascension is no longer being distributed through Steam, is there a way to install this mod without the "public_test" launch? I would love to use this mod, but the only copies I have of the game I can find are non-steam versions.
I don't know what the non-steam versions modify. If they only modify the steam dll, and if the version that is based on is the public test version, then it might even work.
If I only knew what, exactly, those versions modify.
+1 for a non test version.
No way.
I'd have to implement all the changes into an old version of the game. That alone would take months. And I'd have to fix the bugs of that version on top of it and I don't even know what those bugs are. Not going to happen.
Instead, get someone to a) update non-steam versions to the latest version of Space Hulk: Ascension and b) tell me what, exactly, they did to which file.
are there buffs added to the boxes for newly added weapons or do they not exist? Just wondering
I assume you are referring to relic upgrades for weapons. Relic upgrades exist for almost all weapons. Tooltips always include information about unlocked relic upgrades.
Ok, because for the new weapons, such as the power sword talon and storm shield, it doesn't say if weapon upgrades were added or not, so i was just curious about new ones that you added. Unless i glossed over it i didn't see a disclaimer about which weapons don't have relics.
You are right, there is no description of relic upgrades.
In the current version (V1.4.1) there is at least one relic upgrade for every weapon except weapon "Empty Hand" and ranged weapons for Legion of the Damned.
Storm Shields do not have upgrades. Technically Storm Shields are not exactly weapons. Boarding Shields have relic upgrades.
Does this mod add multiplayer?
No it does not. Space Hulk has multiplayer. Space Hulk Ascension includes a lot of hidden fragments from Space Hulk. Unfortunately the Space Hulk multiplayer server code is not part of Space Hulk Ascension.
