Hello Eastern Front fans,
It's time we brought to you the new tech tree for Ostheer because, as you may be aware, it's changed a bit since the last time we released any news about it. Still, change shouldn't come as a surprise as we are still in the alpha phase and this stuff usually happens:
As it is too much information, we have divided it in two different parts, so for now we will start with the first three tiers.
HQ or Tier 0
Units available:
- Description: Builder vehicle for Ostheer, no offensive capabilities.
- Abilities: Supervise(Decreases the building time of every unit of a selected building), Rudimentary Repair, Advanced Repair(after Schutzen War Camp is built) and can construct all the tier buildings available for Ostheer.
- Upgrades: None.
- Description: Logistic vehicle, required to secure sectors and increases the income of resources. Besides being able to drop Goliaths for a sum of munition, it has no offensive capabilities.

Infanterie Gruppen Post or Tier 2
Units available:
- Description: Neutral unit of this building, these squads consist of four soldiers wielding a MG34 light machine gun and three MP41s submachine guns. They're intended to be an offensive squad so they have high mobility while lower suppression power. Their suppression power can be increased temporarily by using the "Hot Barrel" ability.
- Abilities: Hot barrel.

- Upgrades: Passenger gunner(requires Support Crew Modernisation).
Assault Pool: Marksman

Support Pool: PaK 36

In the next days we will post the missing information ;).
PAK 40?
I'm not sure what you actually meant by writing "PAK 40"...
Hes asking if there will be a PAK 40. a PAK 36 wont do much a against a T-34 lol
he meant if there is a pak 40 AT gun planned ....
He is talking about the PaK 40 Cannon.
xfxf2 right! you won 100$!
YES!
he wants to know if the game has or will have a PAK 40
@modber
We removed it from the concept because it wasn't needed. So far Marder II with Panzerjagers is a terrific combo.
isn't that like just the way PE does it? :/
and both factions add the flavour with the AT-grenades & pak36, PE's mounted on a halfie.
But yeah a mobile pak40 makes no sense since even the QF 17pdr seems way to big to be dragged around without it looking stupid.
@GriffinZ
We couldn't find other ways to face armoured units rather than using such combo (Marder II + Panzerjagers).
Marder II might look like a variant of the Marder III, but the difference is than our Panzerjagers are cooler than PE tank busters and they aren't "fillers" for the building :).
The only similar thing between AT-grenades and pak36 between PE & OH is than PE's HT has that weapon. Hafthohlladungs are not PE AT-grenades, so the only common thing is than both belong to the same group of weapons.
We need to know more!
IS THAT A KUGELBLITZ?!
Yes it is.
Amazing, guys! The greatest news I've heard!
In the alpha footage I saw both Sturmtiger and Ferdinant gun platforms, but I don't see them in the tech tree. Are they reward units?
Just a question not really much related to the news, but are you gonna keep updating the mod even if Company Of Heroes 2 gets released?
Any info about the foreign volunteer troop tree? Like how and when will they appear and what weapons they use?
