Will they possess only missiles as their weapons? Or will they also have other weapons that will benefit from upgrades like the SCPB's?

only Missiles. I was experimenting with different types of weapons, but I found pure missile-salvos to be the most satisfying outcome.
Originally I wanted charged Particle Beans as well, but there wasn't the right hard point on the weapon and it just didn't quite work out from the perspective of using this unit.

That is indeed true, but I prefer the CnC4 voice of the Basilisk which is why they are called Basilisks.
