Your effects are simply stunning. Why didn't this appear in the professionally created vanilla CNC games?
Because at the time when a game gets released, the common hardware of the players is worse than a few years later when a good mod gets released. Big firms ought to make sure a lot of people can play the game (they want to sell and gain money, mind you) while a mod can set the requirements higher as years after the original game release the common hardware of the players is supposedly better.

By the way, would you replace the infantry death animation with a different one, here? Just a little strange to see blood spurting when everything else around you is getting vaporized. :P
I agree.You should make it so that when a nuke goes off around infantry,all that is left should be a skeleton that either get thrown in the opposite direction of the nuke,or it just collapses like in RA3.
You should also try to see if you can make it so that there is an ash mark behind the infantry that's in the opposite direction to the nuke.
But if that's too hard,I'll settle for exploding infantry any day :)
