Adds a Clone Trooper as a companion northeast of the Follower's outpost and north of the 188 Trading Post. Also adds a relatively long quest line, more like a series of encounters, started by talking to the intercom on the Downed LAAT next to the Clone Trooper Companion where you fight Battle Droids.
V2 Changes:
*Removed extra hostile NPCs from various higher difficulty areas to hopefully make them more doable
*Raised health of a few isolated creatures
Description:
Adds a Clone Trooper as a companion northeast of the Follower's outpost and north of the 188 Trading Post. Also adds a relatively long quest line, more like a series of encounters, started by talking to the intercom on the Downed LAAT next to the Clone Trooper Companion where you fight Battle Droids.
The Clone Trooper is based on the the clone trooper from Pandemic Studios' Star Wars Battlefront 2. As such he screams a lot about wrist rockets that may or may not be there and is certain in the fact it is the same as the simulations.
The quest line offered by the intercom on the Downed LAAT will have you fighting various groups of Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, and even more Battle Droids. Keep in mind that there might be more than one way to finish a mission and some of the Battle Droids your tasked to take out might offer you quests if you talk to them. Some of these will complete the the requisite of "taking them out" while others are just silly diversions.
This is a silly mod that I have been working on, on and off, since 2017 and haven't made any major changes to, aside from a few tweaks, since 2019. So I figured now is as good a time as any to release the thing. It started out as an off shoot of a battle droid mod that I had been working on that was a bit too complex for me to continue on with. So I went for a more straight forward framework. "Talk to NPC, Kill Target, Return to NPC, Repeat". It is a bit rough around the edges and a bit unbalanced. It also has a pretty bad difficulty spike near the end. I'd suggest bringing along some help to the last few missions. But, I've still had fun playing it and have been able to beat it.
Technical Stuff:
*Adds NPCs/Creatures to various Wasteland locations
*Adds doors to various Wasteland locations
*Adds several variants of battle droids from SWBF2
*Adds the single clone trooper from SWBF2
*Adds the clone and droid rifles complete without appropriate pipboy images
*Adds PS2 quality Clone Trooper Armor with the same lack of quality of pipboy image as the rifles
Known Issues:
*Difficulty peaks pretty bad in the last few missions
*I've experienced crashes in the last mission due to the number of NPCs. I've cut them back a few times and haven't experienced any crashes since then. It may still effect weaker systems though.
*Most "dialogue" in unvoiced
Spoiler-y:
Battle Droid Missions:
*4th mission when you are sent to a "Data Storage Base" Talk to one of the Battle Droids wearing a party hat to start the mission.
*6th mission when you are sent to investigate "strange looking robots" Talk to one of the Battle Droids to start the mission.
*7th mission when you are sent to a "farm house" Talk to one of the Battle Droids to start the mission.
*13th mission when you are sent to "destroy a droid ship" talk to the Captain to start the mission.
