This is a full conversion Tolkien mod for Crusader Kings 2 which will feature bookmarks throughout the Third Age. This mod is being developed independently from any other LotR or Middle Earth mods out there. The map will cover the main areas of Middle Earth, known in the books and films. So, Middle-Earth is waiting for you! Will you play as the descendant of one of the noble families of Rohan or Gondor? Will you try to reforge the ancient kingdoms of Elves in Eriador? Or will you try to destroy all the Free Peoples, and claim Middle Earth for Morgoth? This mod will give you a unique strategy experience of the Third Age in Middle-Earth. From Forodwaith to Bellakar, from Lindon to Rhûn, lead your dynasty and survive the Dark Times. Become one of the most important Lords of the Age!

Quote: "We're looking for people well versed in Arda lore to compile a list of all the characters with their births, dates, and parentage for the planned history overhaul. This will save the devs time on the research part of things and greatly speed up the overhaul so we can provide an even better product that you can enjoy. Please join our discord if you are interested in aiding in the research."
Maybe talk to Sin on the discord, I think we also need an artist.

Not a Member so I don't have access to the bug report section. having issues with frequent crashes for no discernible reason. Not running any other mods, latest version of ck2, and I extracted the Zip directly into the mod folder.
random crashes are going to happen, we don't have much in the way of diagnose them and paradox doesnt seem interested in providing tools to do so. So have to hope random bugfixing and the history overhaul corrects the issues. You should be able to load older saves to bypass many random crashes and playing before 9999 is more stable, probably dont use dlc as we don't implement vanilla code much.
Unfortunately constant crashes (approx every 5 minutes, especially during wars, also with DLCs disabled) was my main experience with this mod when tried it first a couple years ago and it hasn't changed a bit which is a shame as research and work put there otherwise is enormous.
try playing before 9999 as the game doesn't like the later dates. As stated elsewhere, not much can be done about crashing when we don't kn ow what's causing it unfortunately.
