Okay. So I installed Star Trek Legacy with both original patches and UltimateUniverse 2.0 mod. Everything seems to work okay. Then I install CJG Star Trek XI Mod 1.0 (Build 2) For UU 2.0/2.2 and the game stops working. Do I need a New Race mod for this or what? I tried using the installer and then tried to manually place the files. The result is the same. The game doesn't work. Need help.

The mod must be installed with the mod installer and not manually. If the mod installer is not working it can not be installed by simply copying files. If memory serves me well, the modinstaller runs with Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0, if you do not have the proper .net framework installed it will fail to open at all or give a message.

Is the installer giving an error message on opening, not opening at all, or seeming to work part way and stopping?

Just for verification. I downloaded and installed from the link. It installed properly, even on Windows 10.

The primary issue with the ModInstaller not running, would be not having a compatible version of Microsoft .Net Framework, which I do believe is 2.x which is also included as part or 3.5 when it is installed/enabled. For Windows 10 .net Framework 3.5 is included as a "Windows feature" that can be enabled or disabled, for me it was enabled by default. It is also in the "Windows features" for Windows 8 and may be enabled there. For Windows 7 and earlier it would be installed by downloading .Net Framework 2 itself or 3.5 which also includes 2.x.

I did test with UU 2.2 not 2.0. I'm not sure why in 2013 someone would have been running UU2.0 and UU2.2 update first. While it had been tested at released to work properly on UU 2.0, because 2.0 was the latest release when the XI Pack was originally released. I doubt Build2 would have caused any incompatibility with UU 2.0 as the patch that it includes didn't.

If you install UU2.2 after installing this XI Pack you will cause Legacy to crash and not open. To fix that just Reinstall the XI Pack over top of UU2.2 and it will restore the files to proper working order.

And be patient, and don't get click happy with the mod installer running. You could cause a partial install if you somehow interrupt the extraction processes. It takes a minute or two to open the initial screen while it extracts the mod files. It also takes a short while to do the final installation. The XI Pack has some size to it, so it does take longer than the typical extraction with anything else that ever used the ModInstaller if your familiar with it.
