Tiberian Odyssey takes place 11 years after Tiberian Sun: Firestorm in the year 2041 and portrays own unique vision of a greatly expanded Tiberian Universe. Experience a brand new story told through an innovative and interactive campaign where your decisions as a commander will have a direct effect on the path you take and outcome of the war. Enjoy many new features such as; highly improved graphics, new and revamped sound effects, a completely new and unique musical score and an entirely new set of multiplayer maps to play on including different game styles and game modes. Tiberian Odyssey will be a 100% standalone game and will require no additional CnC games or discs to run. The Tiberian Odyssey project has been in development for over 5 years and does not follow any of the events seen in C&C 3 and is in no way related to it.
The new Vulcan Tower for GDI, concept art.
Very nice concept!
It looks like the Component Towers aren't going to used anymore now, oh well... :( Good work. :)
Component towers were an interesting idea, but not very well executed. They slowed down GDI gameplay because of the normal build style.
The component tower might work better in Generals of beyond, but the classic build style doesn't work well with component towers because you can only build one thing at a time.
(However, I think that the lack of Component towers is made up for with the Firestorm Cannon :P)
The original idea for component towers was that you could build component tower upgrades and then replace them at any time (automatically selling any plugin that was already on it)
Funnily enough the AI can still sell individual plugins and replace them
This is something I hope CCHyper will be able to fix/add into his Hyper Patch ?
P.S. Love the concept design!
P.S.S. There was actually an even earlier concept idea for the component tower in which it could have all 3 plugins and automatically switch between them depending on the inbound threats... quite interesting
Wow. Shame the human player can't.
