C&C:VRM Generals strives to make Zero Hour as visually realistic as possible. This means that we would like to replace every in-game entity with its closest real world equivalent. We are NOT interested in changing the gameplay in any way, and intend to keep the original balance of Zero Hour entirely intact.
Our ultimate goal is to have every unit in the game, every icon, every building, most sounds and most particle effects replaced to be as realistic as possible. The crusader tank for example has been replaced by the M1A2 abrams. Some units, such as the Avenger, have capabilities beyond real life.
We will still replace these units with their most logical real-life-counterpart, despite the real vehicle not being able to perform the same actions.
It is designed to work with a FRESH VANILLA INSTALL of Zero Hour, and will get start to get real buggy if you use some of the GLA zero hour generals.
Like the title says, 0.5 is now out and you can get it either in the downloads section or through the big download button here!
This being said, I must emphasize that the mod has primarily been constructed and tested to work best with the VANILLA GENERALS, the special generals added in Zero Hour are probably quite bug riddled!

Dude.. The particle system that you're using here is a bit too expensive to run properly.. How do I take out this particle system and restore the default zero hour particles? Plz help...
Dude.. Appreciate the stuff that you did.. but I think you should work on the buildning models as well..... If not, you should make the texture a bit brighter.. :) That would make gameplay look more real.. Now the cartoony look of buildings and units dun mix well.. Look forward for those in next release...

what would be cool would be radio callouts and stuff, like in the missions and such, that would add a neat effect to the game

this mod needs a lot of work one major bug i found in mission 2 us general your units always want to garrison in a building at the edge of the dock no matter where you try to send them and gla is way op with there rocket trucks
Will you be fixing the mod at one point? Toxic General GLA Quad gun will not change to later vehicles despite getting scraps for upgrade
This mod has archived its objectives. It deserve a good end.

Took a while to find it and install it again. Still fun to play despite all these years.
Nah I still want to replace everything but it takes too much time. Would be nice to combine this mod with another one that's already replaced buildings. Art style almost always conflicting a bit tho.
