This mod is for all the players frustrated with the cartoony nature of Zero Hour units and buildings. We intend to replace every fanciful unit in Zero Hour with its closest possible real world equivalent, without changing the unit's capabilities.

Both wings snapped off, entire undercarriage ruined. The design of the drone is such that as it runs out of power it slowly glides to the ground instead of plummeting. The underside being destroyed supports this model. The drone really did "fall" right into their territory.

Yea that I don't get its supposed to be a stealth spy drone why the hell would it be built to glide safely to the ground after losing control?

I mean its a ""SPY"" drone so wouldn't it be more logical and some what cheaper to simply have it self destruct after loosing contact or control with its ground crew/avionics and AI for say like 5-15 min? Yea it could be costly but it would be cheaper than letting you enemy's get a hold of it and study your tech and proceed to reverse engineer it and develop better counter measures to it. >>

I am not a US army engineer and I don't know how they justify this design choice, but disputing it is fruitless since this is fact not conjecture.

Isn't this a bit...unrealistic? That's a HUGE drone. I feel like an RQ-2B Pioneer would be a better fit.

Correct, but the pioneer drone is already >20 years old, only 35 are in service, and they are used primarily on carriers or for amphib forces.

What about the sikorsky cypher? Even if it was canceled it would fit the purpose and size.

Maybe this could be the spy drone since it's stealth.

Same reason why the Comanche won't be in this mod. Never entered REAL service.

Wait, you know that the Predator UAV does exist in real life, right?

The sentry drone is a MAV, the hellfire drone is a Reaper, so its going to be beneficial to the player to have visually distinct drones. Also, a predator can fire missiles while the "beast of kandahar" cannot. This is purely an observation drone.

*I meant to say "battle drone" instead of "sentry drone"
