This mod is for all the players frustrated with the cartoony nature of Zero Hour units and buildings. We intend to replace every fanciful unit in Zero Hour with its closest possible real world equivalent, without changing the unit's capabilities.

there is no reactive armor, it seems to be mesh armor, the US use mesh to stop small explosives like RPGs

In real life, the stryker gets this sort of slat/space armor to prevent certain types of projectiles (shaped charge) from penetrating the hull. In Battlefield 3 this is erroneously referred to as "reactive armor" on the LAV (IRL this type of armor would not deflect tank rounds). In Zero hour it is much simpler, it just gives +100 HP :).

Yep, I know, but I guess this was inspired by BF3.

Please dont do the CoD thing, if someone creates something like in a famous game people will always relate to that...

Except COD never even created anything ;). And to answer your question, no this was not inspired by BF3.

oh, please, I dont say that Battlefield invented this thing, this "armor" was invented long time ago, but it only appeared in your mod and after bf3 came out. So here is my point.

Additionally we will probably rename the upgrade to something like "additional armor" or something, since "composite armor" is built into tanks like the Abrams by default anyways IRL.

you could make the upgrade so that it gives the LAV reactive armor instead of mesh...

i've heard of it referred to as "cage" as well though. point still stands, reactive is entirely different..iirc, the israeli take on it is a layer of c4 (or similar) which detonates and deflects the blast away from the vehicle. yeah, this toooootally isn't reactive armor...sigh.
