This mod is for all the players frustrated with the cartoony nature of Zero Hour units and buildings. We intend to replace every fanciful unit in Zero Hour with its closest possible real world equivalent, without changing the unit's capabilities.

Interesting, the BTR-40 is a vehicle not very often seen in many games where it fits in.
Expect this particular variant show here is the BTR-152D (improved BTR-152, based on a truck chassis with NV equipment but without the winch) and not the older BTR-40 which had quickly gotten to become obsolete with the addition of the BTR-152.
This one also has ZPTU-4 which BTR-40 never had.
Both BTR-40 and BTR-152 are based off civilian/commercial truck chassis. Same applies for BTR-60 and later variants up to the BTR-70.
Only game I've ever seen them in is Metal gear sold 3.

Thats the M3 Halftrack and it has a wheeled and tracked chassis. The only similarity is the form.
I think he is talking about the M16, also known as the "Meat Chopper", a M3 with 4 .50 caliber M2 HMG's.

No. The BTR-152 is based off a Soviet/Russian commercial truck chassis.
Very nice, I always considered that GLA has too-many tracked vehicles in 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3. I like the dirt/rust details.
