Cassidarin

The planet Cassidarin, untouched since its creation billions of years ago that is until is discovered by humans as they begin their expansion into space. Now as humanity divides and declares war on itself, Cassidarin will become the home planet of the human rebels fighting the government that seeks to destroy them and claim their new world as their own.
While the Earth Peace-keeping Union and the Cassidarin Defense Forces fight a war between worlds, a third underground army seeks to dominate the war by undermining the two forces actions.

- A rich and indepth background story with a much more grim and darker foreground story of two worlds at war.
- Two unique sides representing each of the worlds fighting in the Cassidarin War. The Cassidarin Defense Forces [CDF] protecting the world of Cassidarin and the Earth Peace-keeping Union [EPU] fighting for Earth.
- A large arsenal of weapons for each side ranging from the EPU's refined experimental weaponry such as Armor Piercing Laser to the CDF's rugged industrial weapons such as the Tactical Rocket Launcher.
- A weapon add-on system allowing the attachment of items to weapons to allow new abilities or to add passive effects such as greater accuracy or increased damage.
- A class based system with incorporated ability system. Abilities and weapons limited to their respective classes.
- Diverse landscapes ranging from historic (Cassidarin War) battlefields, Earth and Cassidarin urban areas and sandstorm battered outposts to offworld bases and inside military spacecraft.
I have decided to halt development of the Cassidarin HL2 project for various reasons. They are as follows:
a. A lack of a team. As of this moment we have myself as the only active member of the Cassidarin team. With all my other issues to deal with I can hardly do the whole 1 man mod team.
b. A lack of interest. I can say quite easily that there has been very little interest in Cassidarin. Well hey theres no fun making something for a non-existant audience.
c. A lack of motivation. I cant be bothered trying to sort out this project, downfall after downfall.
d. No game engine. I cant wait to play HL2 but until it comes out I do not want to write continuously about features that might not be able to be implemented.
I would just like to add I have not given up on the Cassidarin story and continue to work on it piece by piece, as for the HL2 Modification part of the project. Its been an uphill struggle and im just too damn tired.
If you would like to help revive Cassidarin feel free to offer your help. Until then it shall remain on hold.

Well, is it? Since to cell shade, I think you need total control over the way the engine draws... and I don't think the SDK inorporates that kinda control... :)

We switched to HL2 from UT2003. Give it a day or so and ill put the new site up. That should clear up this.
