Nice, classic mod!
I remember this being one the first Carnivores Mods I ever played (the other being Triassic) and enjoying back then.
I'm sorry to say this but this Mod did not age very well, I mean for the time I thought the modified maps and new textures for the guns and dinosaurs looked good, but compared to the other community-created mod content that's been made for Carnivores in the last few years this looks amateurish in comparison.

what I like about this mod are the color combinations in the textures of the floors of each map and that the x-bow is faster than the original when shooting.
But there are many things to improve on the mod in general, because when playing it, it feels like the original carnivores game but with new textures and sounds instead of offering new content. For example, instead of using the T-Rex from the original game and naming it "Rugops" with a new texture and hardly any modifications to its sounds, you should use a different 3D model that really looks like a Rugops and add sounds that would match with this dino species. And the same criticism goes for the other dinosaurs and weapons too. Maps should use new heightmaps with 3D objects, as it feels like the original game with some changes to the terrain. Some dinosaurs calls and the hunter's death sound should be improved as they sound weird and unnatural. Dinosaur textures need more work on their anatomical details to look more natural. Lastly, the Charonosaurus has no call sounds.

needs a lot of work if it wants to compare to these mods
I gave this mod such a high rating because...it's creative.Even though they are just recolors,there are also size changes.The maps are amazing and what i like most is that the allosaurus is HUGE and it's model is amazing.Now this is my review and i hope other people would agree with me.
When desperation first arrived on the carnivores' seen it was great for its time nicely reskinned animals and maps and decent weapon edits.
But beta 2 is just average down to the fact of how far the carnivores modding community has come and desperation does not use these new assets no new models for the animals no brand-new maps just more re skins compared to the high quality mods like Triassic mandibles migration and jp hunter legends desperation just does not stand out like it needs to.
Desperation was great for its time but its time has passed.
One of the best mods I have ever played.
