Nope :) Although looking similar tourney shields were attached to shoulders and were pretty small. These ones were not commonly used in battles but you’d occasionally see them being used.
By the 15th century most of the slavic armies adopted western equipments, so no round shields of the 13th century, besides thats only one knight every other one will look different from eachother. :) Also Vaegirs are not based only on Russian slavs but other slavic nations too. Some will look more western than the others. :)
Dont know about the shield. Not slavic enough for my liking. The rest is amazing as always.

I always felt like Vaegir were based on severyans who later became novgorodian rus because of their similarities with nords in their armor choice
