2006:
Saudi Arabia experiences a coup and the Royal Saud family is deposed. Mounting dissent against the Royal government's cooperation with America and its allowing of foreign bases on their soil has led to a radical group taking power with overwhelming popular support. Unfortunately, this came as a surprise to the world since information on just how bad the domestic situation was prior to the coup was held from American officials.
Syria and Egypt announced plans to co-develop nuclear energy plants with Russian partners. Syria was placed under sanctions due to its nuclear energy announcement, its involvement in Iraq, and its continued ocupation of Lebanon. Egypt faced no international opposition due to its friendly status with the West. Several months later, Egypts democratically elected president was assassinated and a military coup took power with aims to remove the West. Following Arabia's example, Western embassies were attacked.
Russia sold MANPADs Syria and failed stop selling them after signing a treaty not to do so in exchange for enhanced G8 status. Russia has been continuing it's development of Iran's nuclear power plant along with continuing Egypt and Syria's plants that are now "under new management." Also, Russia's ongoing undemocratic reforms continue under harsh criticism. Meanwhile, Russia's governmental reforms have threatened Western interests by undermining the private oil industries power. This along with the scandal invloving the Ukrainian election have resulted in Russia being having it's G8 status revoked by an American lead commitee.
Meanwhile, the Ukraine has joined NATO, allowing the greatest of the former Soviet blocs to maintain NATO bases right next to Russia. This has resulted in the now humiliated Russia even further and a crisis emerged when a Ukrainian passenger plane was accidentally shot down for violating Russian airspace.
With Russia removed from the G8 industrial league Russia entered into a relationship with the fledging Arab Confederation of Nations. As leaders from their countries consolodated power they reorganized as the United Arab Nation being led by Arabistan (former Sauidi Arabia), Syria, Egypt, while others began joining. Iran was promised not to be attacked in echange for economic and military cooperation and continued nuclear development with Russia. The UAN's first official business was to retake Iraq. Russia traded weapons openly with the now officilally recognized UAN. America and Britian now had 2 enemies, the UAN and now possibly Russia.
In the Balkans, the Yugoslavian situation flared up as Russian peace-keepers alongside Serbia clashed with their Western counterparts and overwhelmed the region. American-British alliance represented the bulk of NATO's strength and were now engaged in a two-front war: Against the UAN as they engaged Western forces in Iraq in the Persian Gulf Theatre. And against Russia following its invasion of the Ukraine, overwhelming unfinnished NATO bases and preparing to begin its seige on the capital of Karkov in the manner of its seige of Grozney, the Chechen capital. WWIII has now begun.
Whose side will you be on?

I've been playing with the SC2 editor a little bit, and it seems that the creation of a CtA-style mod is quite possible. It would have considerably many upgrades over the Generals version, using features that I had intended to work into the earlier game but was unable to bring in due to engine difficulties. Of course, beginning such a project would involve completely recycling the material made for CtA and starting afresh. However, modern warfare mods have a promised market availability, and SC2's mod scene is very fresh ground to work upon. Think I should go for it?
I'll also need help. If you have anything to contribute - anything besides rants, that is - send me a PM or reply here.
I'm currently working to rebuild and complete CtA. If you'd like to help, contact me through MSN (medicdude@wideopenwest.com) and I'll...
Today, we display the American RAH-66 Comanche attack helicopter. The latest in helicopter designs, the Comanche is completely stealthed, allowing it...
I would like everyone to be reminded that CtA is not dead. A few things are changing in DS, and I haven't really wanted to post news, so nothing...
This version of the CTA beta includes the playable armies UAN and UK and will only work with CnC Generals.
have the UK a SAS team, because the russian army have the spetnaz
always did, haha, they're shown in the screenshots section.
It's pretty dead. I've still been considering resurrection onto a new engine - perhaps SC2, or merely CnC 3. Would have to take a closer look at recent / upcoming RTS's to get into the flow again.
is that mod died ??
and egypt have 220 f16 + apaches long bow +mirage 2000+ more than 1000 abrams
Have the leader send the mod to someone who wants to complete it.
This mod looks good, why did they have to let it die? I would love to see this finished, some of these units look awesome, particularly the F22 Raptor.
Hmm, I am recently wishing this had not failed.
Its a real shame that this mod have to die.
its to good for that, the only problem is that none seems interested in finishing it
well, i those units were probably added to the game several years ago and,Eurofighters, Apaches, Panavia tornados are already being used
by other factions in the mod such as united kingdom and USA,
but i do think the UAN deserves less ragtag infantry and some more modern equipment, for example mirage instead of MIG-21 and ERA on the T-72s
plus, all those western fighters theyt have, like Egypt has 240+ F16s,Saudi Arabia has 200~ F-15s including strike eagles
Is This Mod DEAD????????or not dead
