Looks awesome! Will this be a standard for all Empire factions or just for some?

Doesn't Kislev have a similar but less well designed unit ?

Yeah the Warmaster one, actually at first we had planned to swap the current Kislev Wagons unit to a model similar to the Warmaster mini (we showed it here on Moddb, I deleted the pic tho) but later we thought we could kill two birds with one shot with the swap making the most of that unit slot with a classic neutral WHFB War Wagon so both Empire and Kislev can share it.

That's great when i first saw the title I thought are they adding "John Wayne" as a hero unit, although that would be a very old reference.

If i remember right isn't there at least two drastically different types of an empire war wagon? This version existed as a miniature, but the other one seems to be more akin to a mobile imperial bastion therefore way too large to be a miniature for WHFB. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Well from what I remember these warwagons existed before the steam tank was a thing. I think after the steam tank the warwagon model was discontinued. I am not sure about the other one you are talking about that sounds more 40k. Dont know exactly how we will implement it but either a poormans low tier steam tank(with gunners instead of cannon) or perhaps a replacement for the steam tank for some of the less wealthy provinces.

"War Wagons can vary greatly in their size, with some War Wagons being only as large as an over-sized hay-cart, while others can grow to the size of an Empire fortress" - A quote from the 4th edition empire codex as the wikia states.

There is a picture on the wikia that displays what may well be one.

The WoC apparently had something similar to a massive war wagon on the main cover of their 4th edition codex.

Description

"The War Wagon is an extremely heavy version of a chariot, a mobile armored battle tower with a crew of six warriors, pulled by two sturdy warhorses. The high walls of the tower protects the crew from arrows and attacks from the ground. War Wagon work as a movable platform from which it could either transport Empire soldiers through the battlefield or provide a vantage point for units of archers, crossbowmen, or handgunners to shoot the enemy. Its crew can also be armed with a variety of experimental weaponry from the arsenal of the Imperial Gunnery School."

"War Wagons are large objects of war drawn by horses by the people of Kislev. When the nomadic Ungols move across the steppe, they bring huge wagons pulled by multiple horses for when they are attacked. These wagons are then used to form a defensive circle to shelter the entire tribe inside, while warriors attack those who have raided them. From this tradition the Kislevites have developed a military style wagon - smaller and better armoured than the original steppe wagons, armed with Handguns, small Cannons and loaded with warriors. On a vast open battlefield (like the steppes) these provide effective and solid defensive barriers to an enemy's advance."
