Today's DOOMGUY is an invincible and exhilarating killing machine, but the original DOOMGUY was just a lone soldier.
Many players describe DOOM as "a daring game of crushing an army of enemies with big power and weapons," but I think the original DOOM is a "survival action FPS."
I loved the plot of fighting fiction monsters with modern weapons.
This "CALL OF DOOM" mod is a realization of the modern DOOM I wanted.
Players can fight DOOM monsters with high quality firearms imported from the Call of duty universe.
A new DOOM mod project "CALL OF DOOM: TARKOV" is under development.
This "CALL OF DOOM: TARKOV" introduces many resources from the best game "Escape from TARKOV" with the most realistic weapon handling.
Weapon animations and sounds are near the highest quality for a non-Total Conversion DOOM mod.
The appeal of weapons is even deeper than the previous work "Call of DOOM: Black Warfare".
A mod that lets you fight monsters with the most realistic weapons without breaking the fun of DOOM.

"CALL OF DOOM" is a custom mod series that allows you to use modern weapons in DOOM (1993).
This mod is a "custom weapon mod" and does not include custom maps. Use it with your favorite DOOM custom maps.
There are currently 3 official "CALL OF DOOM" titles by Arrowood.
This mod is currently in development.
At this time, you can only view the developer's own playtest footage, you cannot download anything.

The very first "CALL OF DOOM" released in 2017, this was originally an add-on for use with "Brutal DOOM".
Later this became a stand-alone weapon mod project and the various materials it was building were carried over into "CALL OF DOOM: Black Warfare".
Please don't ask "How do I download it?" and "I don't know how to use mods at all!"
Appropriate download links exist and all files have instructions on how to use them.
Be sure to read the developer's instructions when working with new mods, whether mine or not.
Please don't try to ignore all explanations and ask questions.
This is a mod that allows players of "DOOM (1993)" to use modern weapons.
It fits various custom maps and can turn DOOM into a modern survival FPS.
No sci-fi ray guns appear.
All weapons in this mod are realistic firearms, requiring the player to learn and reload the correct ammunition for their weapon.
Standing in a devastated world, you must find a way to survive hell while collecting various weapons and items.
There are no longer great chain guns. Most of the weapons you get are rusty old guns and civilian sport rifles.
Worse, the number of weapons you can carry is very limited.
There are no stashes where items can be safely stored, so dropped weapons may never be available again.
Players should carefully consider whether to use the SIG MCX, which has high performance but hard to get ammo, or the AK74, which has low performance but easy to get ammo.
There are also very limited ways to restore health.
The original DOOM player could just pick up a first aid kit to restore health, but this mod requires a waiting time to heal.
Health will not recover until the bandages or injections are finished, leaving you defenseless while healing.
(After all, this is DOOM, not EFT, so you can use bandages even while dodging enemy attacks or running on lava.)

The DOOM mod I am working on is NOT "Escape from tarkov: Total Conversion" or "Hideous Destructor: Tarkov edition".
I don't make mods that take more than an hour to complete a single map, or that require you to be frightened by a single Zombieman's bullet. I never thought of making one.
This mod fits many custom maps without making your gameplay too easy, difficult or ruined.
Before starting the game, you can choose your faction.
Depending on which faction you choose, the equipment you can use from the beginning will differ.
-[ UAC Marine ]
This is the so-called "Zero to Hero" mode.
The player is only given a Beretta and some 9mm ammo.
There are no backpacks or protective gear, and everything you need must be procured locally.
-[ USEC Contractor]
Start the game as a Western Bloc PMC.
You can choose weapons and equipment provided by USEC at the beginning, and you can sortie with high-performance weapons such as HK416 and Benelli shotgun.
However, there are limits to what you can pay. If you want to equip a high-performance custom HK416 from the beginning, you need to give up purchasing other useful items.
Also note that Western Bloc weapon ammo is hard to come by on the map.
-[ BEAR Contractor ]
Start the game as a Russian PMC.
You can choose Russian made weapons such as AK74M, RPK16 and SV98 supplied by BEAR.
These weapons are ammo compatible with AK rifles that are frequently obtained from defeated enemies, making them much easier to fight.
-[ Scavenger ]
Start the game as an expert at rummaging through trash cans.
You can choose from a variety of low quality but low cost weapons.
Scavengers have large backpacks that they use to collect trash, so players can pick up a lot of items from the start.
There are a lot of weapons in this mod.
Here are just a few of them.
-[ Glock 17 9x19 pistol ]
Given for free when sortieing as a USEC Contractor.
An excellent 9mm pistol with a high capacity magazine and suppressor.
-[ S&W M1917 .45 ACP revolver ]
A free revolver you have when spawning as a Scavenger.
There's nothing better than the USP45, but it's good enough for early self-defense.
-[ MP-18 7.62x54R single-shot rifle ]
This gun cannot kill the Cyberdemon in one shot.
-[ Kalashnikov AKM 7.62x39 assault rifle ]
It's an old gun now, a weapon you can get anywhere.
Other than that, it has no other advantages, and is used in situations where no other weapon is available. You can always throw it away when you no longer need it.
-[ H&K HK416A5 5.56x45 assault rifle ]
The perfect weapon for hunting monsters, it's equipped with a drum magazine and an ACOG scope.
-[ Lone Star TX-15 DML 5.56x45 carbine ]
A great sniper rifle that makes the most efficient use of 5.56mm ammo.
Equipped with a suppressor that can quietly kill monsters, a high-performance scope, and a dot sight for close-range combat.
-[ ASh-12 12.7x55 assault rifle ]
A monster rifle designed based on the advanced tactics that "If you want to defeat a big enemy, just shoot a big bullet".
You can switch to full auto, but semi auto is better unless you want to shoot the sky.
-[ Kalashnikov AK-103 7.62x39 assault rifle ]
It is AK packed with your dreams.
However, it is very rare and will only appear when the worst is about to happen to you.
-[ TOZ-106 20ga bolt-action shotgun "pistol"]
The TOZ-106, which was said to be the weakest in Escape from TARKOV, succeeded in entering the "pistol" category due to its brilliant ingenuity of folding its own stock.
By claiming that the folded stock is an "Arm Brace", it evades NFA regulations.
Escape from TARKOV features a large number of firearms, both old and new, and of course this mod also has them. Choose the best weapon for the situation and survive hell.

that is, x weapon limit, x weapon (like doing something to the set of three but changing for a shotgun, a submachine gun and a rocket launcher for example)

I hope a skilled modder will someday find this mod and make it multiplayer
call of doom already works on multiplayer on GZdoom and LZdoom so I don't see why this mod won't.
well, it kinda works on zandronum if you remove one line in the code
