Call of Chernobyl is a free-play sandbox mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Call of Pripyat created by TeamEPIC. It features 32 explorable maps, reworked level design and level fixes, new original level, Trucks Cemetery, Full AI and A-Life overhaul, engine and script enhancements, Repeatable task system which bases itself on A-Life events, Customizable weather environments for every map as well as surges and psi-storms from AF3, Character creation which includes name, portrait and faction selection; Several optional modes such as Ironman mode, story mode and zombie survival mode, New achievements, rankings and reputation system, PDA leaderboard and enhanced PDA statistics, Companion system with keyboard issued commands, many optional side-features and community-made addons . Call of Chernobyl was player's choice Mod of the Year 9th place in 2015 and 1st place in 2016!

UI Overhaul for CoC 1.0


  1. Release date: RELEASED
  2. Compatibility:
    1. Call of Chernobyl 1.2.31 or higher (Optionally with Warfare and AO3.1 installed)
    2. Compatible with the "New mainmenu + optional sounds mod" by an anon on /sg/

Description

A mod that changes the appearance of UI elements in the game. This goes for icons, GUI and menus. Examples below:

The following screenshot of the HUD is outdated. Please scroll down for updated screenshots.


TGZ HUD in more "vanilla" colors, with soon the options to only have HP / Stamina, just ammo indication, no minimap etc. Comes with custom compass.



Fully Transparent + Additional non-transparent versions soon available



Edited suit icons with a heavy emphasis on '3D'. Making the icons seem less '2D' and also increasing the amount of detail per icon by hand painting shadows and light.

Very nice HUD.
I like the new placement of the compass on the minimap. I was about to say like Tejas, in the thread on GSC forum and then I forgot. ^_^'
I would have liked it a bit more near the border of the minimap, but it is already good as it is.

Very nice work, it will surely replace my usual HUD in CoC when available. :)

Very very nice. Simple and pure.
The compass positioning is perfect.

Maybe a thin layer with shadow under the ammo counter would be clearer, as the counter isn't really visible on the 2nd screenshot.
But already, a very attractive HUD.

Ah, nice to see the Bandit Faction's got a SEVA now... By the way, do you think it's possible to release the TGZ HUD edit you made as a separate download or as another option to your current HUD mod? I really like both of them. (The early version of your HUD mod, I mean)

Oh on the first screenshot? If yes, this version "does not exist" anymore, sadly. I used it as stepping stone for the current one. If there's demand, I might look at creating it once again. For now taking a small break ;)

Yeah that is what I meant. Oh well, No problem. I might just give a shot at trying to recolor the TGZ HUD to the same color scheme myself.

Either way, love the stuff you've done already.

There is only a ui_actor_hint_wnd.pdn not dds. I tried to rename ui_actor_hint_wnd-with.dds but the health bars are missing while the compass seems to look correctly.

STCoP is NOT compatible with the Bandit Seva addon, but should be with the HUD mod. Here's the correct download for the HUD mod, I must have made a mistake (as i don't have file types on for some reason).

Autumn Aurora 2 HUD is finally online!

Small note: I didn't include the overlays, because:

  • I'm by no means a scripter, and the code used was for SoC
    • I also dislike the overlay effects because they obscure vision,
    • I like the cleaner design and simplicity.

Download link is in the repository (first post). I'm going to use that from now on, so be sure to bookmark it for future updates!

Hi, i was using your " Current / Final HUD design ". So far so good, look simple and clean. Especially the transparent design. Nice work :)

The only imperfection is.. Compass East and west seems invert. Perhaps you should look into and fix it.

Hey Loner, any chance of a version without the minimap? I hate having "magic" detection of enemies, makes you look at the minimap too much instead of using your eyes in the world!


I don't mind PDA blip sounds, a little bit of cheating is okay :) Also I don't know if it is to do with HUD, but CoC has almost no radiation warning sound which sucks :(
