An overhaul for the New Game / Select Faction menu.
This add-on is available for:
- Call of Chernobyl 1.5 R6
- Call of Chernobyl 1.4.22
- Anomaly (Included since 1.3.2 update, don't install)
Should be safe to install without affecting your game, but for Anomaly, it might disable the hardcore save mods in your old saves if they were enabled already.
This is a promotional addon for the upcoming version of Call of Chernobyl 1.5. A total overhaul for the Select Faction menu with many new features:
- Improved design, wider window
- Players can customize their loadout by choosing what items they want to start with
- Selecting portraits is done by a pop-up window instead of the plain droplists
- Added new options to customize your playthrough with more hardcore saves, including the new Iron Man - Second Wind feature
- Compatible with DoctorX Questlines addon, the script is smart enough to recognize the addon if it was already installed (Questlines addon must be installed before this one)

- Campfire mode will be automatically disabled in underground maps/Labs (because these areas lack campfires around)
- Modified Agony mode, radiation will prevent the player from saving only after reaching ~100 msv of radiation level.

Well It was finished already (after reworking and fixing it three bloody times).
The rest of stuff are still in design stage, no actual scripts yet.
I love how quickly you pump out updates, good work as usual! Hopefully you keep releasing your stuff for Anomaly as well
I really like this mod, I'm working on a heavily-modified version of it for Wounding 1.2 that mostly includes customized per-faction loadouts.
Is there any plan to randomize the point system offered to players? Say if the player had a min and max value of points, but depending on randomized character it could be variable.
And whats the point of having randomized points?
It would add more variation, many of the other factors related to starting loadouts are randomized as well.
However right now I'm completely satisfied with a static value of 1000 points, it might actually be preferable.
Hot damn Tronex, you just keep making better and better stuff. Do you want to disclose if this is going to be default in Anomaly soon as is the case with your Dynamic relations addon?

Whats that progression difficulty drop-down menu for? What do the settings change?
Some of these are CoC 1.5 R7 exclusive, like the progression difficulty. You won't see it in this version.
It affects the economy, which reflects on the progression in general.
Sounds fantastic, I can't wait to see how it changes the game when R7 gets out the door, either way this menu looks amazing.

I keep dying and losing my characters so much, a new start menu would be a welcome and fresh sight.

It's working fine on my end.
Make sure that other addons don't replace (script\ui_mm_faction_select.script) file or the ones in (configs\ui)
Or just install this one above all other addons.
I'm receiving the same exact error on my end.
Playing on Anomaly 1.3.1 and fresh start 1.2.
I doubt the new update changed anything to be incompatible with fresh start and i have no other addons in gamedata except yours, i'm also using the proper anomaly compatible gamedata given in the download.
I figured out our problem, we simply didn't use the main file and instead used the compatibility files by themselves.
I dropped the main file into my anomaly folder then the compatibility file and nows it's working. Just a user error.

I have the Sounds Revamp addon installed, and when I installed this the main menu theme reverted to the default one, is there anyway to randomize the main menu theme again?

I have campfire saves enabled, but it won't let me use the matches to save the game. Did something change?

you can enable/disable them by settings true or false
For example:
new game conditions mode = true
this will enable the Agony mode
Also its normal for matches to be consumed whenever you use campfires, but maybe i will fix it later to make it consume matches only when you lit a campfire up.
Any way to disable Agony mode?
Also, when a campfire is already lit you still consume a match to save, feature or bug?
Is it possible to add timescale selection in that menu? That would be cool. Keep up the good work comrade!

I try to start play with your greatest addons and DoctorX Questlines, but game crashes on launch stage :( I do not understand anything in modding, so maybe you can help me with this problem? It seems kind a offtop, but in Questlines topic nobody said anything.
you can find the log file in (appdata/log) folder, open it and scroll down to the end. You should see "FATAL ERROR"

Edit: Actually i dont remember when games crushes before. Was this when i ran exe or new game loaded. For now its when i click "New game" button. This because i changed build a bit.
I assume that you forgot to install the (Main Files) first.

After i overwrite "Fresh Start" on top, game been available to start loading, but apparently as before crashes when it was supposed to be fully loaded :(

1). STCoP (with accuracy fix and original distribution)
2). Open Scopes
3). Outfit (actor.ltx merged with warfighter and dynamic hud)
4). All six your addons
5). DRX Dynamic Anomalies and DRX Questlines
6). Smurths Hud (with dynamic breath and alternative textures)
7). Minor addons: Better torch, companions quick menu, corpses drop money, disabled anomaly and npc detection beep, fixed buggy guard in rookie village, transition between locations takes time, fixed npc vision thru bushes, npc drop artifacts, outfit loot, reduced headbob, returned sounds of the death, simple upgrade icons, ui for mutant looting, hardcore binocular.
I dont think minor addons need to be mentioned, but i just leave full list here, just in case :)
Without DRX Questlines my build works fine. And if i try to add it in my build, system ask me for overwrite three files:
1). game_relations.ltx (TRX Dynamic Relations Compability Files)
2). ui_mm_faction_select.script (TRX Fresh Start Main Files)
3). xr_conditions.script (DRX Questlines)
If i do this, game start crashing as before but in second error appeared new line:

So, i guess Questlines incompatible with your Dynamic Relations :(
No, it's not, when i try to start without "Dynamic Relations" game crashes when it was supposed to be fully loaded with same error :( (without new line)
