Balancing tweaks ar always welcome, but to be honest I cant get why that dude in picture hold his rifle AND pistol at the same time?!
Also do he realize that his head is visible behind that wall?
And what he want to see with head pointed like that if he have mask and hood on head that literally reduce his visibility to just small angle?
I know its stupid but seriously I cant get it out from my head -_-

There is always an explanation : The guy is a teen airsoft player hiding from other players , a pure noob in airsoft , and he probably got diarrhea moment from all the "battle" excitement , causing him not to think clearly and tactically .

Seems pretty sweet, just installed this on top of one of my mod packs (no overwritten files, so should be compatible), I'll get back with some feedback after some playtesting! I like the idea itself, always hated how enemy stalkers were able to shoot me from the other side of the map even as I was crawling between bushes in the middle of the night. :P

Precisely the kind of situation that inspired me to make this. I don't think I was ever able to sneak past the military camp in the Great Swamp, whether I was running straight toward them gun a-blazing or crouch walking through distant bushes during a rainy night -_- With this addon I actually managed to sneak very close to their campfire during the day but they still noticed me when I walked out of cover.

Feedback is very welcome.

Just submitted my vote, didn't have time to play around with it before due to being pretty busy. Great stuff, loving it so far based on what I've seen! A really welcome addition to the Zone, I love everything that enhances realism. ;)
Saw that you've updated it since, will download it and give the new version a shot! All in all good job, thanks a lot for the addon!
(Edit: added a link to your addon in the description of my pack since it complements it so well. :P Might add it to the pack manually myself at some later point.)

Changelog:
- Slightly increased damage received to the head sections.
- Tweaked fire dispersions so that stalkers are slightly more accurate (comparable to vanilla CoC 1.5r6 and CoP).
- FoV is now 120 degrees (approximately the real life angle of binocular vision; takes into account obstructive headgear worn by most stalkers).
- Visual range is now 100 metres (no more spotting from half across the map; default CoP value).

Bullet damage is relatively on point now in terms of realism, thanks. :) I had an issue getting the occasional head shot with no kill, but now seems to be much better.

Hello SarisKhan
1st a nice Mod, balancing is always welcome.

I have not tried it yet but I want to, therefore I have a compatibility Question:
Quote "Recommended for use with W.A.R.F.I.G.H.T.E.R.."

-> As W.A.R.F.I.G.H.T.E.R. is not available for CoC 1.5rc6 does our mod act as sort of patch for CoC 1.5rc6 (install warefighter 1st and our afterwards) or does this combination only work with CoC 1.4.22?

Or do i need this mod 1st "[CoC 1.5] W.A.R.F.I.G.H.T.E.R. 0.51 fix" Moddb.com

The addons simply complement each other. Stalker Tweaks modify NPC stalkers while W.A.R.F.I.G.H.T.E.R. modifies the player character.

If you want to use my addon in conjunction with W.A.R.F.I.G.H.T.E.R., then download the one compatible with your game version.

I'm finding (many many times) that I'll shoot at people and they'll not know I'm there even when they're getting it.
usually happens at some.. range. Happened at the northwest swamp camp vs bandits for example, I was just beyond the fences and they were at the campfire like "lulwut is getting shot" bethesda style.

I didn't tamper with the ability to perceive getting shot in the face. Are you playing CoC 1.5r6 by chance? AFAIK there's a problem like that in the base game.

So far, I like these tweaks. :)

The headshot damage is very satisfying as an AR 'sniper.' :D

I did put the Visual Range back to the CoC default (150 meters) because I really like scope-shotting dudes from a distance, and it didn't seem fair that they couldn't "see" me at only ~300 feet away (until I started shooting, of course!).
~500 feet seems a bit more fair.

Between this and upping the A-life.ltx "switch_distance" to 400 meters (~1300 feet, or 1/4 of a mile) and the "switch_factor" to 0.08 (~105 feet), my Zone always has something going on. :D

Does the mod change anything about enemies being able to hide, pinpoint player and accurately shoot through bushes while being almost invisible? This is what I don't like in my current game and it would be nice if this was tweaked somehow.

Tried your mod and came here to say, GREAT WORK! Being stealth is something really achievable in this game now.

I just ran a mission where I had to kill a bandit who was inside their main base, in Dark Valley, right inside the main building. Got there at night and crawled my way through their base, without being seen, untill I got the target in my sights. BANG! One silenced shot in the head and he was dead. Some of his companions got alerted when he fell to the ground and started to search for me, but I got out there without being find. After I got outside of their base, and in a safe place, I just stayed there, hearing they screaming (probably cursing me... hahahaha...).

Man! It was one of the most fun experiences I ever had in this game.

I tried some other stealth mods before, but only this one worked at a satisfactory level. It's not perfect, I must say. Sometimes, I can kill 3, 4, or even 5 guys consecutively, when they are sitting around a campfire and not a single one of them get alerted, they just stay there, sitting, seeing their friends droping like flyes and do nothing. BUT, it's not something that happens all the time, so, I'm ok with it. I know the AI in this game have its limitations.

Anyway, great work man! Thx for this awesome mod.
