Hello, this is my weapons config for AO version 5. I like to tweak game to my taste, decided to share.
What this changes:
Higher weapon damage, weapon damage is determined by ammunition it uses.
Changed recoil to suit caliber/weight better. Weapons shouldn't have "mirror" recoil when upgraded with recoil reduction.
Silencers will only decrease recoil by 10%, no more reduced accuracy, distance, damage...
All weapons use same "mouse sensitivity", heavy weapons are usable.
Greater flashlight range - pistol range.
No more repairs after 2 magazines. Durability increased.
Reworked piercing. Rifles will have way higher piercing compared to pistols, SMGs and shotguns, you will feel great difference against armored targets. Rifle shots can even go trough cars or some concrete walls, but pistols, SMG's will penetrate some wood planks and thin objects.
I recommend to use this with W.A.R.F.I.G.H.T.E.R. Realism Addon
Idea behind all this is - any weapon is made to kill. Even "weakest" weapon. You will choose weapon by ammo it uses, weight, fire modes, attachment options or simply because you like it. "Damage" of weapon will not be primary criteria, yet harder hitting weapons still feel and are more powerful.
How to install:
1. Unzip CoC and patch it up to 1.4.22.
2. Unzip Arsenal Overhaul version 3.1 (v5) in your gamedata.
3. Unzip this in your gamedata, copy and replace when prompted.
- Reworked scope zoom values for FOV 75(all zoom values have increased):
PSO has correct zoom 4x (includes SVD, SVU)
ACOG has correct zoom 4x
1p29 has correct zoom 4x
PU has correct zoom 3.5x
AC11090 has correct zoom 2x
TRG22, TRG42 now has adjustable zoom with 8x
Gauss, SV98, Lynx(svd_nimble) now has adjustable zoom with 10x
G3SG/1 has adjustable zoom with 6x
l96, l115a3 has fixed zoom with 6x
G36 and Aug will have 3x zoom, with 1.6x downgrade in upgrades[:D]
VKS will have 4x zoom.
Vintorez and VKS 5x upgrade will have correct zoom.
SVD and SVU 6x upgrade will have correct zoom.
- Doubled buckshot damage.
- Increased buckshot spread, so effective range is bit shorter(~40 meters).
- Some minor stuff, I changed some stuff while I was playing, now I cant remember what. But must be something good 100%.
Compliments of SashaRed - merged with Adjusted Zoom Levels for great gunplay with fov 75(or higher). Lower fov may result in some "zooming out" when using iron sights/no magnification scopes. Open console("~" key) at any time and type "fov 75".
