Hey, I only have Warfighter and AO installed, yet when I try using your mod my game crashes as soon as I try to start it.

hmm, can you post last bit of log?
There shouldn't be any conflicts, I use AO, Outfit addon, warfighter and this on top of it all. It don't require new game. It only changes guns/ammo that are already in game.

Single thing I can think of is M60 - it now uses 7.62x51 belt ammunition, but even with that it didn't crash for me, despite previous ammo being loaded in gun.

Will add in next update for sure, and thank you for merge.

I'm stupid. The files in the archives are my own custom files. I've fixed it with proper values for FOV 75. Same link.

I use fov 83, everything was good, didn't find any weapon with weird zoom.
Do you use higher fov than 75 yourself?

Reply Good karma+2 votes

Kostov - - 1,828 comments

I've stuck with 83, but I'm thinking of switching to 75. As far as I know, most people use 75. I'd just recommend using the values for 75 anyway because the values for 83 will zoom out the weapon if the user is using a FOV of 75.

I guess so, with higher fov there is bit ugly "stretching" when close to walls and such. I think I'm going to switch to 75 or closer to that too.
Ty man, you work definitely improved my game.

Is this compatible with Smurth's dynamic hud? I apologize if this is a stupid question, I just want to make sure

None of files conflict, this changes AO itself, so if you use AO compatibility patch with Smurth's dynamic hud it should work.

I never tried myself, but if you are willing you can try and let people know.

Hello can you make some stalker own grenade like in shoc, it seems now only stalker from some faction who got grenade in their inventory and they usually only bring op f1 grenade in their inventory

I have no plans to change equipment loadouts for stalkers. I don't really know about grenades, what bothers me is retarded stalkers with RG-6/RPG killing themselves/friendlies. Also almost every stalker drops m203 or vog-25 grenade, why do they have them instead of additional ammo box?? Also why the hell stalkers have maybe half spare magazine if any stalker would bring ... at least 120(4 magazines) carrtridges for assault rifle to even think about going out of base? Why do they have infinite ammo?
You see, there are lots of things.

thank you for reply, about grenade when I was played shoc in the past, some bandit that who I met own some rgd 5 but not all of them maybe just 1 from 5 bandit who own it, sometimes they throw at me and make game more harder,rg6 and rpg problem not just your problem I think borovos already comment at rpg mod even aluindao still got problem to fix it, how about misterious scope addon that had no use other than cluttering our inventory, I forgot what its name can you make that scope more useful, it look like old russian night vision scope maybe you able to mod russian weapon able to use it?

Yeah, grenades are pretty nasty. Usually I try to be the one who throws them. Npc are very precise with their throws, so best is to keep moving, changing positions.
I don't have sufficient knowledge to edit AI behavior with explosives.
About that scope, I have found some of them, donate them for other stalker or just leave them in stash. My addon is a config of existing mod, I don't add anything new, just change some numbers.

Why do I have to use 75 FOV for the zoom? I like playing on 65. 75 is wayyyy too high, but the zoom makes it really annoying.

I added optional folder with older version without any changes in zoom.
I'm sorry, config is very.. hmm, specific. I make it for myself so updates will come only with those zoom tweaks, shared it for stalkers with similar taste.

Hello smarch, did you already abandoned your stcop config mod? Seems those stcop thing had different system than ao while using your stcop mod, I met with some stalker other than monolith that had grenade in their inventory, and make game little bit harder but they give some clue before they throw grenade and they not spamming their grenade as much as soc but still more intense than ao, and somehow I got more intense fighting with stcop compare to ao, or it related to my mod order I dont know, but please update your stcop config mod please

Hey,
Confing for STCOP is more or less finished, there is nothing I can change to make it better. You have to try to do that yourself.
These configs don't change stalker inventory, so if you want to remove grenades from stalkers you have to edit it yourself or look some other addon. Or deal with those nasty grenades in game by changeing positions and shooting guy who throws them.
STCoP was fun, but eventually I grew to like AO more, so most likely I wont update STCoP config.

I Went To FOV 75 To Test And I i Used The Adjusted Zoom Version Cause I Thought It Fixed the Zoom Im Complaining About. No I Mean Add On Scopes Like The Acog And PSO Snipers Dont Zoom That Much Either If They Have An Upgrade Tree Tho Also Ive Noticed Some Weapons Weigh More When Certain Scopes Are Attached Than The Scope And Weapon Weigh Apart Tho I Can Fix That Not The Zooms Distances

I have notied lack of different magnification for scopes, ACOG could be anywhere fixed between x1.5 to x6, so idk.

What you want to try is editing
"scope_zoom_factor" parameter on each weapon under
[wpn_m4a1_acog]:wpn_m4a1, for example.

I don't know if there is "global" line to edit for all ACOGs regardless of mounted weapon, I think you will have to edit each weapon tough.

i Checked The Files Its How I Plan To Fix The Weights But The Zoom Factor Mostly Says 25 And I Have No Reference To What It Means As Far As Zoom Levels. Any Ideas?

It is just some number, it does not represent any percent or anything as far as I could tell.
Try raising it to 35 and see how it looks in game. If it works you can adjust to magnification you like.

I Figured Out That The Lower It Is The Farther It Zooms On A Scale Of 0-100 To Meaning Infinite Zoom 100 Meaning None Problem Now Is Scaling The Zooms Properly And Figuring Out Which Acog Is In The Game Any Thoughts There?Ive Got The Pso At 20 The Acog And The 1p29 At 30 And The PU At 37.5 and The Ac At 60 To Try and Simulate 5x 4x 3.5 And 2x Respectively But They Seem Too Short On Zoom Distance As I Dont Know What It Should Look Like Through The Scopes. Anyone Know What It Should Look Like For The Right Zoom Distances?

Hey! Thanks for the mod, It's dope.Paired with Warfighter,it Makes the gun play feel more like you're doing actual damage instead of using a BB gun.
Once I patched this over the AO mod, it seemed to mess with the names of all the additional guns, attachments and ammo in the game. Instead of saying AK47M it has a line of code, and the weapon description in the menu is the same.

Is that just how it is at the moment or did I miss something?

Hey,
This changes only stats of weapons, ammo and some upgrades.
All descriptions should work as original AO.
Maybe try clean install of AO, check out if descriptions work. If it breaks after installing this, I'll try to find whats wrong.

Sorry for late response.

Is there a way this could be compatilbe with Maximum Weapon Upgrade addon?

It doesn't cause a crash at all or aqnything major but it resets weapon upgrade trees to normal rather than being fully upgradebable.

EDIT: Actually I think I figured it out from some upgrade files, sorry for the message here.
