I'm stuck with Xenotech in Cordon. The game is sending me to Xenotech but when I reach him he is not offering me any task. There is no "I've come to see you" option in chat. Btw my configuration: CoC 1.4.16 + AO3 (v4) + DoctorX Dynamic Faction relation 1.3 + Doctor X Questlines 1.15 + Duty faction

great mod. But I have a question regarding the CoC Story Mode. Your readme says under Installation "Leave "Story Mode unchecked to play DoctorX Questlines." yet your changelog says the following:

- Re-enabled Story Mode

- Disabled vanilla Story Mode until it can be made compatible
Does this mean the CoC Story Mode can now be activated or did you include the quests already in your mod?

DoctorX, for those of us who are using STCoP and so that I do not have to update this whenever a new version of Questlines comes out, could you re-add the lines that allows Nimble to become a trader in your next releases? It doesn't affect anything if you aren't using STCoP, so it's safe to add. It just adds a couple more lines to the xml.

so, the marsh doctor gives the agroprom underground job but so far no-one has given me a job to get documents from any other underground. i have, however been to all locations and got the documents. i cant find either a decoder or code for the monolith bunker at generators tho.have i missed a step or do i need to change factions to get the specifc jobs?

sorry if im being a pain, just wanting to clear some things up, but does this just mainly adds new tasks and better dialogues? if so thats great, but it says makes a story out of the game start to finish, is this in story mode or is it also in freeplay? cause i would still like to walk around doing side quests and gaining reputations and all that.

There intentionally is no explicit story with Questlines. I always liked the freeplay sandbox that CoC created. STALKER is a great game to let the atmosphere tell the story, and you as the player are then free to fill in the blanks and create your own story.
I created this because I found myself habitually staying in the same areas and following the same paths. This links tasks together and gives you random destinations to give you an excuse to explore new areas and keep the game fresh each time you play.

I'm a bit less certain that this bug is related to this mod, seeing as no quests actually fired, but I fired up the Monolith and wished to end the zone and got this crash. Puu.sh
That is an old joke put in by the devs. Look at the error message; "Wish Granted".
You wished for Zone to disappear and now no more Zone.
does this add new tasks from NPCS? like side quests for COC that i usually do, like getting weapons and all that?
Yes, same tasks are there plus many new tasks.
i dont know if its just me, but the stalker population factor seems to not change. i put mine up to 1 rather than default 0.5 and it doesnt seem to have changed. i made a new game and there seems to only be like 4 - 5 squad leaders in a base like clear sky base, but when i use an old save there seems to be like 7-8 of them!
does the population factor take time? or is it a bug with the mod?

Population change has nothing to do with this addon, but to answer your question, yes changing population levels takes time.
If you decrease population you need to wait for excess population to be killed off. If you increase population you need to wait a day or so for new population to spawn.

Crash when getting PDA mission from Beard.
Your install is messed up. You are missing coc_treasure_manager.script or another addon has replaced it.
Is it supposed to be included with the mod? I didn't have it in my gamedata, and after taking the vanilla coc_treasure_manager.script from the .db files and putting it into the scripts folder in gamedata, the issue still persists.
EDIT: I redownloaded and found the treasure manager script that's supposed to come with Questlines, no idea why it wasn't there before but now everything works well.
Hi! I want to comment that i killed the Doc on Great Swamp then i looted his document and his key to Strelok's stash in Prypiat... then for instance i also got the role missions to all the lab's to gather "hard evidence" of Monolith's.
I playing as a Military, i can do storyline missions in your mod or is this just a glitch? Thank you.

If you had storymode checked then this is probably ok, since Doc would have given you all of that if you had spoken to him.
If you had storymode unchecked and spoken to Doc, he would have only given you the Pripyat stash task. Other NPC's give out the other tasks. You should not have gotten all of the lab missions.
Doc only gave me Pripyat stash while he was alive... then i killed him and got the docs activating the tasks to lab missions :) I'll try to finish these missions for first time and see what happens. Thanks

Tasks like those pick a random stash location when given. Unfortunately there are a few stash locations that don't show on the map (underground for instance).
Load up a previous save and ask for the task again. It will pick a different stash location.
I am in Zaton and Monolith and zombies are walking right past each other and not engaging. I looked into the game relations ltx but it's gobbledy **** to me, I don't know exactly what I should change since the format is all over the place for the relations part.
Edit: I quickly checked and your mod is the only one I'm using that alters faction relations, so I assume it's this causing it unless CoC has it as a known bug. All else is cosmetic pretty much.
Zombies have always been allied to each other as well as neutral towards monolith iirc, even in the base game.
Monolith is also immune to Psistorms and Emissions on account of having had their brain chemistry changed by the C-Consciousness, which is probably why zombies aren't hostile, because their brain isnt the same as ordinary, unzombified/non-monolith humans.

idk if its just me, but i started a new game as a clear sky member, on veteran difficulty, and after i did like 7 quests i had 5 more quests left. 2 of which are loner faction given and three of which are from clear sky faction given. i am loooking for more jobs to do but all the clear sky members seem to say "Sorry i got nothing" forcing me to click nevermind. i thought this was a quest limit or something, so i completed one quest from clear sky faction that i had, and i asked for more jobs, still same dialogue. what is going on?

i havent done the mission to talk to Cold in hidden base in stalker, since its a story driven quest cause its golden.

There is a time limit before NPC's have new tasks available. Give it a day or so and they should have have something for you.
Does sleeping for a day count? Because I have new clear sky stalker members and they them selves aren't giving me new quests, there are like 8 new squad leaders by the fire in hidden base of clear sky and none of them giving me quests!

If you are not getting more tasks after a day, it's because you haven't finished the tasks you have gotten. There are a finite amount of tasks available, if you are hoarding a bunch of tasks without completing them there will be none left to offer.
Btw you mentioned you didn't talk to Cold yet. You should do this. This is what starts the questline.

I've been toying with the idea of making a storyline, essentialy making CoC into a STALKER sequel.
Basically you would be a new stalker who snuck into the Zone and had no previous knowledge of the events that happened in ShoC, CS, or CoP, just there to do some looting, and the story evolves from there.
If you have ever seen the video for Dirge for the Planet where the guy and his girlfriend sneak into the Zone, that is the feel I am going for. I always thought that video actually captured the mood more than the games did.
I also like the idea of the storyline being dynamic, kind of like those old choose your own adventure books.
It will be quite a while before I start on it, if I ever do. I kind of want to take a little break from modding and just play for a while.

Does this decrease the amount of money you get from weapon jobs in the latest version (1.4.16)? Because whenever I hand a rifle over to a STALKER he hands over chump change for it, like only a few thousand rubles for it.
Okay since I'm a retard and didn't read the entire description, I have another question. What file do I change to change it to my preference?
This addon doesn't set or modify the prices for weapons or items at all.
If you want to play around with prices, the files to look at are in configs\misc\trade. Each file has two main sections: [trade_generic_sell] and [trade_generic_buy]. These specify the multiplier applied to the base price of each item for each trader.
Edit: Just re-read your initial question. The reward money that NPC's give for quests are found in configs\misc\tm_*.ltx. For each task there is a line that starts with on_complete and then will have a reward entry like drx_sl_reward_random_money(2500:4500). A random number between the numbers you specify there will be the value of the reward given. Fetch task rewards have multipliers for the base value of the item instead such as drx_sl_fetch_reward_money(simulation_task_2_fetch:2.5)
