so do i have to uncheck story mode when i start a new game? cuz the last time i didnt know which quests should have been new. it were the same old vanilla quests. or dont yours show up when story mode is checked?
Yes, uncheck story mode. You will be given a "meet with ..." task to start the questline.
So, to be sure, starting a new game is not required?
You need to start a new game to get the first task in the questline. Otherwise you will just have dynamic tasks.
Is this compatible with Warfare? Would be cool to have a faction wars going on while going through campaign
so as a loner sid sends me to librarian in swamp. talk to him, he has nothing for me, then the job updates. is this right?. also if i ask cold to change factions nothing happens
No that's not right. What other addons are you using?
so to try to work out which add on is breaking quests, i'm going to install the basics, save at clear sky, then install the aaddons till i find the one that breaks quests. may take a day or so
smaller fetch quests is the problem. doesn't matter if its installed before or after your quest lines. stops the quests dead
Hello, it seems that main story and your quests cannot be played at the same time (the readme for 1.8 tells that story mode is re-enabled).
Yes this is correct.
To be clear you have 2 different game modes. You can choose story mode to play the storyline that was added in CoC 1.4. You will still be able to get the dynamic tasks that I added, but you will not get the questline tasks.
If you want to play DoctorX Questlines, uncheck story mode and you will be given a questline to follow in addition to the dynamic tasks.
They are 2 different versions of the game. If you choose story mode you get the storyline tasks but no questline tasks, if you uncheck story mode you get questline tasks but no storyline tasks (although I am incorporating the storyline tasks into Questlines for the next release)

I just played a game as a bandit, where I get told by Lukash to take a squad of freedom and clear out the monolith in Radar. However, I discover that I can't get close owing to "Hazardous psi Levels." Of course, being a bandit I can't just go to the scientists at Yantar and get the helmet, and that would be no fun to have to bother with anyway. Is this a problem with your mod?

Hi! I have an issue with some radiant quest.
CSky stalker give me task to kill dangerous mutants on the Cordon, but when i killed some dogs which spawned at the quest point (tunnel under railroad), quest didn't completed. I tried to spawn another monsters, but it didn't helped. And there is no dialog line with that stalker "i refuse to complete this task".
The same quest from Duty faction completed well at Bar/Rostok location.
Some of the mutants that were in the area ran away. You have to hunt them down.
I've killed all mutants on location but quest is still in active phase.
Maybe 1-2 mutants run to another location? I play with alife sim enabled in _g.script
Yes, this is a drawback of alife being more active and free. The targets can run off but the target marker stays in the same spot. Try to track them down. If you get close enough you will see a red ? on the map near where they currently are.

v1.4.14 with drx v1.9. if i start in story mode drx quests aren't there, if i start drx the mysteries of the zone and miracle machine quests from story mode don't show

Here is the main differences between story mode and questline mode to help clear things up and help you choose which way you want to play when you start a new game:
In CoC 1.4, story mode was added to CoC which added 7 new tasks to explore underground areas plus a couple more new tasks.
If you play with story mode checked, you are not playing DoctorX Questlines. You are playing the story mode that was added in CoC 1.4. After you successfully complete the first task, you are given all 7 of the new tasks at once. You can complete them in whatever order you want. You can also talk to NPC's to get dynamic tasks, including the new dynamic tasks that I added. You will not get a questline to follow.
If you play with story mode unchecked, you are playing DoctorX Questlines.
You will be given a task to meet with a NPC, which will begin your questline. This task will lead to another, which leads to another, etc. These tasks are pulled from a pool of available tasks and handed out one at a time. THE 7 NEW TASKS FROM STORY MODE ARE INCLUDED IN THIS POOL. Every time you receive a new questline task from a NPC, there is a chance that it will be one of the new story tasks.
If you are familiar with electronics, story mode is a parallel circuit. Questlines is a series circuit.

I have been playing for quite some time and the missions are a cicle between Kuznetsov, Petrenko and the Rostok tech. They kinda offer the same missions over and over again (Rostok tech ask to retrieve a rifle 4 times in a row). I already disabled the Brain Scorcher. Am I doing something wrong?

Talking about it, I'm getting a crash when I try to hand in the "Sniper" mission to Kuznetsov. Puu.sh
So, the problem is. Play as merc on ironman, AO3 installed. They are all green. Take some random quest, complete it. Bam. They all turn yellow, relations neutral(were friendly). Prices gone up and cant recruit. Done few more quests - no improvement. Even if I reload, they are still yellow. Moreover, if I start new game without restarting Stalker, the will STILL be yellow. I tested, any quest for mercs makes them neutral untill game is restarted.
Same here, but I'm using STCoP + OA.
Figured it out, it's the fault of game_relations.ltx in gamedata/configs/creatures.
Turns out vanilla CoC defines the relationship between mercs as neutral (or 0). You can fix it by using your custom game_relations.ltx or DoctorX's Faction Relations mod.
Good catch. I've heard similar reports but was never able to replicate it.
Glad to help. I also noticed that some quests (specifically the fetch X ones) have a tiny mistake in the task_complete_descr attribute in tm_dynamic.ltx.
For example, the [Find Supplies for Freedom Simulation Task] has task_complete_descr = simulation_task_2_finish when it should have simulation_task_2_fetch_finish, resulting in broken dialog when turning the items in.
As I said, same thing happens with similar quests for mercs and other factions but thankfully it's a no-brainer to fix.

Updated to version 1.10 to fix the above issue.
If you currently use DoctorX Faction Relations or DoctorX Dynamic Faction Relations then do not install the included game_relations.ltx file.
It means that Questlines must be installed after dynamic relations?
P.S. game_relations.ltx files in last versions of "Questlines" and "Dynamic Relations" are similar?
Questlines must be installed before either of the faction relation addons.
The correct installation order for my addons would be:
1. CoC 1.4.14
2. DoctorX Questlines 1.10
3. DoctorX Dynamic Faction Relations 1.3
4. DoctorX Faction Relations 1.4
5. DoctorX Desolation 1.2 or DoctorX More Mutants 1.1 (not both)

sorry to ask this but i need a little clarification. playing the latest version the marsh doctor gives the agroprom underground job from story mode. is there a chance for him to give any of the other story mode jobs like x-16,18 etc?
No, other NPC's give the other tasks.

Is there a way to join Monolith without starting with them? I turned off and then turned on the Brain Scorcher again. Tried speaking to rabbit after both doing this and not to see if there's a difference. He's hostile and starts punching either way.
