It's a proud moment.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Battle Grounds version 1.1 has finally been completed and released. If you're following on ModDB I'm afraid you're getting the news a few days late - it's been out for three weeks already.

It's been two-and-a-half years since this project was started as a programming exercise. Over that time it's seen some significant changes - complete refactoring on at least two occasions, new content, repairs to old maps and everything shaken around until no assets were overwritten. The result, I can quite safely say, is much shinier than the original.

New features include support for Battlezone and The Red Odyssey's singleplayer maps, manual addition of third-party multiplayer maps through the MapAdder system, and native support for briefings and shellmap previews - something the original should have had all along.

We're quite confident you'll find this to be exactly what you're after; satisfaction guaranteed.

Grab it from the download section, and stay tuned for future updates! There are big things in the pipeline...
