Dear god, what have they done to HMS Repulse? I'm sorry to say this, but it looks like someone's ****** on it's textures. It feels like BSmodHQ just forces skin and sound changes on you without allowing you to keep all the aircraft skins and weapon sounds from the base game, just like BSmodHQ 4.0 did for Battlestations: Pacific, and the TBF Avenger torpedo bomber doesn't even have any sound at all.
Most issues that stick out to me aren't even really fixed. For example, the Type 91 torpedo clipping through the G4M1 Betty's bomb bay, AA fire being unbalanced/OP, and the G4M1 torpedo bombers missing terribly because they all either:
1. Drop their torpedoes too far or without adjusting to the target's movement and miss.
2. Drop their torpedoes from too high of an altitude and only once they have gone point blank close to the target, causing them to explode upon hitting the water.
3. Don't release their torpedoes at all due to being shot to crap by AA fire/fighters and because of this some scattered still passing over their assigned targets with ordnance in their bomb bays due to targeting issues.
I obviously felt like BSmodHQ 1.0 for Battlestations: Midway would actually make you able to enjoy the game a lot more after it came out 2 years before Battlestations: Pacific, but it was less than my expectations. But after all, no one can, or even will remake Battlestations: Midway and actually make it more enjoyable than Battlestations: Pacific, which came out rushed and unpolished and had lots of unused content, where as compared to Battlestations: Midway. Overall, i just wish that there was a remaster/remake for Battlestations: Midway with the same quality the original game was made with.

This mod is great as hell. But,most of the new levels just crash the game. Idk if its some hardware issue or an issue in downloading the game. Can i get some help on this? Cuz the mod is absolutely awesome and i want to play those levels.

I do really appreciate this sir... It really gives the true love that Midway deserves... But may i suggest, just one thing and it will be alright... It's just me or the AA is quite OP for me? or maybe im not really that good in torpedo runs and dive bombing hahaha.... But yeah... Carrier to Carrier battle is quite tough... My bombers don't quite stand a chance of approaching the enemy carrier, just a splash from flak really deal quite of damage... I do remember my B-25 going for a torpedo run, In the Battle of Bismarck Sea and the escort cruiser the ones whom escorting the convoy ships? from a distance fired it's flak and my plane get splashed by a flak or the AA Artillery (Yeah im quite sure it was the AA Artillery, they're quite really dangerous and they're in Carriers right? Yeah... Perhaps that made the Carriers a hard target than before...) and quite badly damaged... Doesn't give bombers a chance hahahah, and in the defense of Port Moresby too well SBD going against the cruiser, and approaching the carrier (Fighters darn it, just keep getting pesky ahahah), couldn't much explain better ahahah... Really good for defending against air attacks but... Quite give my bombers no chance of delivering a decent blow to their ships(Exception is the destroyers and light armed ships)and carriers, or maybe because of Plane spam of the enemy AI and they strike first? That's why they're quite effective than me? Or am i that really bad and picking targets that quite strong and not defeating the smaller ones first? But unlike the enemy Carrier AI striking directly to my carriers and larger ships? Cause i don't move my carriers and ships that much? Ahahahah... But yeah sir. I do really appreciate the mod cause it give Midway the love and attention it deserves... But this hard experience of AA and Carrier OPS is just because of difficulty? Or i am not really that good enough and AI is quite giving a good fight Ahahahah... But perhaps... A difficulty selector will do, or tonering down the flak power by selecting difficulty or overall?... Just giving suggestions sir so it might help for your future update... If this is quite look demanding? Sorry... And Thank you very much for listening. I hope my report can help, and this is the only thing i see, nothing more to suggest for more and more cause yeah it's not really good demanding much, without understanding, and it's very good already there's no more to be improved only those i mentioned i guess, well if it looks fine for you when you've checked it out, well just ignore this, it's my problem perhaps? I am the problem? Ahahah i just need improving perhaps? Thank you very much for the mod sir, God be you always.

I understand what you're saying. It is a bit of a tricky setup. In Skirmish we tried to program the AI to set up a decent fight like a human player would. We tried to get it as close as is possible. Don;t think you are playing against the regular AI. You'll see its fighters already engage you way out rather than when you are on top of the carrier/airfield. As for the AA, we did give the ships varying levels of skill, but mostly in Veteran and Elite. You'll need to attack from the sides with least AA and attack in big waves. It's a completely different playing field.

Indeed... It's up for the challenge mostly the biggest obstacle is the resources management and plane reserves... It's just me or it seemingly that the enemy have... Infinite resources of plane reserves? Or maybe im just bad... Yep... If it is able... Difficulty selector might really help especially for newbies, which yes this mod is really for full-time vets, but i guess it will made the newbies give it more a go! But it is really more recommended that they play the base game first...

In the game the AI does have unlimited stocks of planes and ships, however for the skirmish missions we scripted new functions that give the AI the exact same number of each unit as the human player did in the corresponding multiplayer slot. It doesn't easily happen, but the AI does run out of planes. As for difficulty unfortunately in that mode the skill is locked. We can look at making it so that you can set different variants of the mod with different skill ceilings. For now you are basically going to fight against an AI that is almost as good as a veteran player.
