A mod for Doom II inspired by Brutal Doom, but this time "brutalizing" Wolfenstein 3D by adding new weapons, enemies, textures, animations, and of course, gore. Lots of it. That's not all though -- the maps from the original game are being redesigned too. Note: I'm not the mod's developer. Credit goes to Zio McCall for the concept, development, as well as the various contributors. I just felt that this mod needed a place here.

ahhh don't play this, don't play Complex Doom Duster, don't play God Complex , you do'nt play doom .
Vanilla, for old bay boys.
bleah.

Okay, so John Romero definietly should play this. I am sure he would have a few: "Ohh, okay...so i can do this now." smiling moments. :D
It was a tight and demanding experience with great visuals and music selection.
The new mechanics nicely complement each other. It just feels good; when i run out of bullets i can just grab an axe from my belt and slay that one last enemy shooting at me before reloading.
What i am not sure of, if the Sound-Zones could be properly implemented here. Sometimes i wondered why i am not approached by enemies standing around the corner. That was a bit immersion breaking, but at least i could score a few sneak kills. :D

One of best mods of the year for me, hard like the old times, music and stairs add depth to gameplay and the remake of the maps are so awesome, now it looks like a real castle.. Congrats !

I think the "Brutal" treatment for vanilla Doom has had the same effect as it had on vanilla Wolf 3D - that is, made game play even smoother, more gruesome, and more fun.

The only reason I refrain from giving a perfect 10 is that one of the heavier guns has too much recoil.

More fun than New Colosssus. But, my iron sights don't work. I really enjoyed this mod. Such a shame that more work cannot be done on it.

Excellent mod, a personal favorite. Don't forget the addons for a truly enjoyable and refreshing experience. My recommendation: textures, music, flashlight and footsteps.

It's an amazing mod that breathes a new life into good old Wolf 3D. The new weapons and enemies feel like they belong in the game, the maps have been skillfully redesigned keeping the original layout to actually look like functional, lived in areas, the gameplay is fast and dynamic, the remade soundtrack is excellent. I honestly can't say a bad word about it.
