A mod for Doom II inspired by Brutal Doom, but this time "brutalizing" Wolfenstein 3D by adding new weapons, enemies, textures, animations, and of course, gore. Lots of it. That's not all though -- the maps from the original game are being redesigned too. Note: I'm not the mod's developer. Credit goes to Zio McCall for the concept, development, as well as the various contributors. I just felt that this mod needed a place here.

I wish it would work with maps generated by Obsidian...

This is jaw breaking!

A complete re-imagine of classic wolfenstein 3D, that makes it very entertainig to play today!

Many weapons, enemies, and various suprising gimmicks. Game took me off-guard in the first levels. Sudden change of music and being ambushed by new type of enemies that actively chase you through the level is something that wolf 3d did not prepare me for :)

What I personally like most are the details of level design. Levels have believable rooms with roofs, carpets, columns, stairs, windows (something I always lacked in the original). Levels are climatic and not so abstract. I feel figthing my way through dining rooms, offices or cell blocks.

Ahh the details. Shoot the lamp and you see three colored wires :D

I only finished a couple of levels and I am completely thrilled about what is come! This is fantastic game for long evenings of this winter.

Btw. thanks for new version 7.0. Only that version allowed my to adjust my HUD properly. But I guess this is not the only thing latest version brought.

What I disliked about old FPS games however stays here as well - these secrets... compulsively grunting at all the walls to find it. I could use some easier way to find them... but anyway Brutal Wolfenstein is and impressive work made with visible love to this genre! Thank You!

EDIT: I just realized that actually Your map can help you with finding secrets (at least in my version of GZDoom), if you change the map settings properly. But even with this I am still not 100% secret finder :)

Goddamn this is one addictive stuff, the original vanilla Wolfenstein 3D was confusing and made you dizzy. This Brutal Wolf3D made you relaxed and focused due to its "de-fuckedupication" of the original maps by adding caves, lighting, and everything that screams 'MODERN DOOM WAD' which makes it comfy to play and doesn't feel like a total snoozefest. The enemies are satisfying to kill, weapons are awesome by adding Soviet and allied arsenal, gameplay is absolutely top quality.I love Brutal Wolfenstein and the creators whom is Zio McCall and LAZ ROJAS, thank you for refining this 90s classic for us all!!!!

I give 6 for modification and 0 for developer. Even though he made a cool mod... He proved to be a complete uncompromising *******! He deleted my comments and didn't consider the tests I did on LZDoom 3.88b. I want to leave a warning that LZDoom works with the mod and there is only a graphical bug in the first level of the first episode. LZDoom has hardware rendering through the DirectX9 backend! Which is enabled by default. In software mode the renderer used is DirectDraw. This Zion (developer) proved to be an imbecile by not knowing the development history of LZDoom, which has been developed in leaps and bounds since 2019 and which has all the tools and a little more of GZDoom.

This mod is glorious. Update after update, it gets better and better. I love the mechanics and new weapons added. The dedication to make little changes to every single level is amazing, now we have the Spear of Destiny update. Can't wait to play SOD version of this.
