A mod for Doom II inspired by Brutal Doom, but this time "brutalizing" Wolfenstein 3D by adding new weapons, enemies, textures, animations, and of course, gore. Lots of it. That's not all though -- the maps from the original game are being redesigned too. Note: I'm not the mod's developer. Credit goes to Zio McCall for the concept, development, as well as the various contributors. I just felt that this mod needed a place here.
The old version 4.5. This is different from the remastered one naturally.
Any ways to disable the "side head bob" when you strafe left or right?
I would like this mod if you disable reloading... Seriously, the game is almost impossible
Use Slade to remove it
Make sure to go to configure controls. Press up to loop to the bottom. Bind R or E to reload.
your just unskilled thats all. :)

Wolfenstein + TF2 = This
btw i like the mod
I find the default hud to be a little clunky but for some reason it won't let me switch to the alternate hud. Why is that? i believe i have the latest version of GZdoom

And i also seem to have a bug where even though i've bound the throwing of grenades to the G key, every time i hit the key it tells me a message along the lines of ACS: grenade is not an inventory item. so essentially i can't use grenades.
Is there supposed to be no mouselook?
EDIT: Wolfenstein 3D TC was the cause, sorry for wasting your time.

My Review:
A few fundamental issues with this mod. First off, I know Wolf3D is generally aimed at high-damage, high-reflex gameplay, and this mod reflects this. You have to be fast and precise to succeed, you can't circle-strafe around any of the hit-scanner enemies. That being said, this is what I didn't enjoy and feel could be improved:
There is too much ammo.
Ammo management is a huge gameplay mechanic in FPS games. Here, however, you can pretty much play with whatever weapon you can, since most of the enemies drop large bundles off ammo, and clips are easy to find everywhere, ammo management is not important. The MP40 smg and STG44 rifle is almost always full and available early on, so you don't have to worry about ammo for your best weapons. If enemies dropped very little ammo, or no ammo at all, this would at least force the player to use other weapons other than the mp40 and stg44.
Fast enemy reflexes, not enough health.
Enemies have very fast reflexes and take a lot of your health on the third and especially the fourth difficulty. It's fine, I guess, I could get through most of the levels on the 3rd difficulty. But not always. Just played the secret level for episode 1 and it was impossible... practically zero health pickups until the soulsphere at the end.
Boss fights are not fun.
The first boss fight is ok. The 2nd and 3rd are TOO DARK, you can't see anything, and they are not fun at all because of this. The fourth episode boss fight is better, but it doesn't give you any health from the start so if you start with low health = you ded.
I can't seem to get the HUD to appear. Can any body help?
