I ran some tests on the file archive, and was distraught that there was 75MB of raw, uncompressed audio! Personally OGG-ifying the Battlefield 4 voices alone trimmed it down to 35MB, but one would be crazy to think that I would dive into the main Sounds folder to painstakingly do the same to the other 589 audio files for Marines! If you have an editing program like Audacity, perhaps you could try it out yourself and see how much potential bandwidth we'd all save?

Honestly when I was making this I knew very little about doom modding. Back when I added all the sounds I was like well this works but never knew the sounds where uncompressed. I sadly don't have a sound editing program and I'm working on a new project for a different game that also deals with sounds but the process takes a lot longer than just copy and paste so if you could send me the compressed sounds so I could trim the size a bit down I would be very thankful.

Does it work with GZDoom v3 and up?

Last time I tested on gzdoom v3 a lot of **** didn't get replaced like your followers and captured marines but you could spawn in the random variants just fine. I'm not sure how they updated how gzdoom handles with similar actors but different code.

so what gzdoom version should we be using then? I have 3.2.0 should I use 2.2 or 2.4 this should not cause errors?

Well the problem isn't errors its replacement but if you just want the random variants you're good but if you want the replacements then 2.2 or 2.4 is the way to go. But I'll do a test on 3.2.0 first

Changing the voices and phrases of the marines would help, they're too fanatic and kinda annoying, or at least include a command to disable their voices

I was gonna do that but after a while I came to the point that if someone really doesn't like the added voices they could go into slade and delete the soundinfo file inside the PK3. And also adjust little details inside the mod.
