Combined the look of the Scoped Mosin-Nagat (with a few sprite edits, such as see through scope and reloading sprites)
With the function of the M50 sniper rifle mod (more power, accuracy and clip reload instead of bolt action).
The weapon fits in with the balance of Brutal doom quite nicely.
Project brutality version has faster reload so it fits in with the more OP weapons of the PB mod.
Brutal doom version will drop from sniper zombies, needs XV117's Monster Expansion mod
(BD21 XVME 1.2.0 or BD21 XVME 1.3.0 or BD21 XVME 1.3.1)
- Project brutality verison (PB) will drop sometimes from rifle zombie
- No sniperzombie version wont drop as there is not actor
- lower(no HUD) version is translated lower so no missing sprites during reload when not using a doom visor or HUD bar
-kick sprites added to BD&PB versions
-No HUD version updated so scope is aligned with the shot aim
-fixed sprite at zoom in
-removed many errors and obsolete code referring to alternate ammo types (for BD)
-removed the ammobox replacers, so it will be compatible with other mods (I left an old version in the zip for those who want it to spawn sniper ammo boxes)
-Added selet/deselect animation
load it before the XV117 enhanced monsters mod.

The bottom of the rifle when idle, firing and reloading has no sprites. When this Sniper addon is used together with the Mosin Nagant the sprites of the Mosin Nagant will be messed up, im guessing because some of the sprites from this addon shares the same name as some of the sprites from the Mosin Nagant.
yes, I play with udv visor so dont see the missing part. I can fix it in slade, will do it sometime

Been try out this addon for Project Brutality and I gotta say, it is very good. However, I think there seems to be a problem with reloading, It doesn't want to respond. Could it be a Bug perhaps?
PS I used the ver with (no hud) required.
Sometimes depending on themods you use, you will have to set your keys for reload in the game menu (there are two spots where you need to set reload)
Well, the reload in PB is the (in game weapon reload) option and the Sniper still doesn't respond any time I try to reload; also more with this issue, is that the sniper's weapon's special doesn't responds to its command either. What do you think could be causing the problem?
Which gz Doom or zandronum version do you use?
Weapon specials don't work, only zoom in and out work
I'm using GzDOOM v4.2.1 and also LzDOOM v3.82; since Zandromun is no longer compatible with PB 3.0.
There are two places for reload.
Under action/controls and under brutal doom advanced controls.
This is the one which controls the snipers reload.
When aiming down the scope the sprites will be messed for a brief moment. It also needs new kicking sprites that matches the new look of the rifle.

Indeed. However I have also created a DMR/Sniper rifle that fits better into the BD lore, I haven't published it yet. Maybe I will polish it a bit and will consider to do so.

Hi ProfessorExistential. Thank for this sniper rifle mod looks amazing! I am very new to brutal doom. I'm about 4 levels into doom and haven't come across the sniper rifle.
Do I have to activate it in the setting or have it just missed it while playing?
It doesn't spawn. You need to use the console to 'summon sniperrifle'
My suggestion is to download the enhanced monsters mod. Then the sniper will drop from the sniper zombie.

I have updated the no HUD version updated so scope is aligned with the shot aim.
I'm loving the idea, but can't seem to get used to it in practice.
Do you think you could make one which looks like the Scout from CS:S,
or an older-design wooden-looking one? Like a scoped Springfield?
Then it's bolt action, and has a 2-second delay between shots,
but each shot is powerful enough to kill a pinky.
And when not looking down the sights, the model is pretty low,
not covering most of the screen.
Something like that would feel great to play with.
In my opinion, it's the gap in the current weapon set.
