Following the GZDoom port of Doom 64, BD-64 revitalizes the old Doom 64 with new special effects, particles, lightning, gore, new sounds, more weapon animations (shotgun reloads, smoother minigun barrels, etc.) and monsters and stuff cut from the original Nintendo 64 version. Works on GZDoom and Zandronum in OpenGL mode. (Zdoom and Zandronum Software mode are not supported.) No downloads available yet. Mod still is very early WIP.
First version of submod "Black Edition" for Brutal Doom 64. Total improvement sound design and other game changes.
Analogue of submod "Brutal Doom v20b: Black Edition" now released in first version for Brutal Doom 64. In this first alpha version contains the necessary changes which managed to do and transfer without much difficulty. For the first time, from many things had to be abandoned. Because Doom 64 have completely different file structure. A lot of work ahead. Not to mention that right now Brutal Doom 64 is first version.
So, right now submod works about at 50-60%. Doomguy from Doom 3, footsteps, ricochets, shells, monsters, weapons, ambient, doors, elevator, switches, half items, pulsating red screen effect and shaking, black screen fade effect, menu and other. All this made according to the current sound settings of Sergeant in first version Brutal Doom 64. While I don't plan balance changes and other game changes. Need time to understand all it. At least now there is a basic submod.
Changed and edited some sounds. Fixed some bugs with sounds. New sounds which has not been previously added. Added Doom 3 footsteps in separate folder. Added new sounds after latest update of Brutal Doom 64 ver 2.0.
Changed footsteps. Now without additional sounds when player walks - metal clang ammunition. Also slightly reduced volume. Added in archive separate folder "Optional addons for BD 64 Black Edition". Included 4 alternate footsteps and 10 alternate voice of hero.
Edited and added new more advanced difficulties of game (skill levels). And also added new unique last difficulty: "Hellish Massacre!". It's really true massacre in Brutal Doom. Unstoppable fun, speed, blood and flesh. Just rip & tear god dammit. You take only 20% damage. Monsters only have 40% health. Much more monsters. Fast monsters. Much more ammo. Monsters respawn in 5 secs.
