BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.

It probably doesn't make it any better that it fires a laser out of the pee hole.

Also, bonus death animation: I.imgur.com

Mr. Burns ***** laser going carnifex.. Damn impressive.
But I take it as a great homage to necron builder scarab, tomb stalker and tomb spyder, scrin vehicles, as mechapede and hexapod.
The beetle feelers and mandibles are damn epic.

Not an intentional homage, but a more than acceptable comparison. All of the above had some inspiration in random decapods.

Aww, I remember using it in Forged Alliance Mission 4 (since I found a way to run BrewLAN in campaign, and usually capture a Seraphim engineer in that mission)... Next time I'm gonna keep one of UEF factories' wrecks :D

TBAFH I liked the old model more. But this model is also cool, gives some unique vibes.

The old models were just temporary models borrowed from the mobile artillery, and the siege tank before that. I had always planned to replace them when I came up with something that wasn't OP.

Oh by the way.. can it reconstruct experimentals? Because reconstructing Fatboy, Monkeylord, Galatic Colossus, SACU and buildings is really awesome

Wraithlord_Zeratul Technically it can reconstruct anything selectable that either leaves a wreckage or is reclaimable whilst alive. To the point that there is currently an exploit where it can reconstruct UEF engineering drones. Without limit. That one I intend to limit and fix, although not straight up disable.

SACUs and ACUs aren't reclaimable, and don't leave wreckage's.

Civilian buildings would be reconstruct-able except the default UI doesn't have a way of dealing with things that aren't categorised with a tech level. A UI mod would fix this, but the UI code is weird voodoo magic that I have never really touched in any depth.

There is literally nothing stopping it from reconstructing experimentals that it can reclaim or access a wreckage of.

Description

Some moderate abuse of the wrecks at the centre of Seton's.

Should we rename the Iyadesu now that it looks this cool? It's been called Iyadesu for over 6 years (I didn't bother checking when specifically, but I mentioned it in an article from 6 years ago), so I have some attachment to the name, but still. Thoughts?
