Overall this is alright, I think a lot of the experience from these maps must have come from playing with friends in Gmod, but I don't find them too fun alone. I'll write a little bit about each of the four parts, then I'll have a little summary.

The first map was alright, but really lacked direction. I found myself wandering around the map over and over rechecking doors and looking at rooms and such. I made very little progress for a lot of work and I think that's a big problem, in the end this one just felt like it dragged on and never went anywhere.

The second one was a pretty big improvement and was a fair bit more interesting. I don't have too much to say about it, though.

The third one was probably the best, in my opinion. I think the location and visuals were the most interesting, but it had all the same problems as the others.

The asylum alpha was alright, but not exactly interesting. First you get a key, then another key, then you need to hit a button and you wander around until the door to the button opens. You hit the button and that's about it.

In the end all of these parts suffered from pretty much all the same issues, and I'll pick out the three I found to be the biggest problems.
1) These maps are almost completely black in almost every space. Not only is it really annoying to look around, but it isn't doing the navigation any justice. That may have been the point, but it really makes the maps a lot less fun to play.
2) The mechanics feel very, very unfair. In all four versions it wasn't unlikely to suddenly hear a loud noise and die or take damage from nothing. May that's supposed to be scary? I just found it frustrating. On that note, these maps could certainly use autosaves instead of relying on quicksaves.
3) The levels are really messy and confusing. At no point am I sure of where I am going or why. I wander about, hear scary noises, and sometimes previously blocked areas open up for seemingly no reason at all.

In the end I can see a lot of time and passion went into these maps, but I find them mostly frustrating more than fun and annoying more than scary. Your mileage may vary, as they say.

Overall solid horror experiences that are plagued with issues that make them hard to enjoy.

Well, it is OK design-wise, but it was not much fun for me. Perhaps I like the shooting part of HL2 more. The asylum part where you run away from a monster with impaired vision was frustrating.

GUYS, THIS **** IS SCARY, PLAY IT.

Mapping isn't super detailed but it serves to make an adequately scary environment, plus the fact that most of the poltregeist encounters are randomized make these some pretty scary horror maps.
