SuperDuper DMSP Quake More fun than a barrel of exploding monkey gibs! by Bondo

Description

I found this in my Quake folder. No idea where I got it. Requires Darkplaces ------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you read this, because you will be sad if you don't :( ------------------------------------------------------------- QUAKE presents WOLFENSTEIN 3D v.1.0 Shareware Episode Lord Asaki had little to do with it. ------------------------------------------------------------- *** Mostly runs in DarkPlaces only. *** For the few of you who've tried the older builds of this mod, Lord Havoc has fixed the sprite lighting in DarkPlaces, so you're advised to update to the latest version. I'm assuming he'll have a stable release by the time you read this, so head to his booth and grab it!

You would have to learn how to make Quake maps and program in QuakeC to start with. There is no way to port Wolfenstein mods over to Darkplaces wholesale, you would have to recreate them aside from the textures and sprites, which would only have to be reapplied to work within the structure of Darkplaces.

As a modder who has received comments by Asaki over my problems I had with my Wolfenstein mod for GZDoom a while ago, I'm actually interested with giving this engine a try in all honesty. As much I'd like to get started but, I still don't know how to set my mod up, let alone getting all of my stuff converted to my mod for DarkPlaces.

IMO “Quake” mods that require only 1 specific port are “problematic”. This is a darkplaces mod, not really quake.
