BLUE DAWN: Donbass Crisis is a mod created with the help of some parts of the Way to Freedom mod to show you guys both sides of the Donbass Conflict and maybe educate you guys in what is going on there. The thing we want this mod to be focused on is realism and historical events. We researched our intel which we are using by reading loads of stories and articles of the war written by both sides. Also, we will not tolerate any political opinion posted on our forums or mods because this will be punished by a straight ban.
Fighting in Donetsk Int. Airport (2014) | Бои в донецком аэропорту (2014)
Fighting between separatist forces affiliated with the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), and Ukrainian military and volunteer forces broke out at Donetsk International Airport on 28 September 2014, sparking the Second Battle of Donetsk Airport, a part of the ongoing war in the Donbass region of Ukraine. This followed an earlier battle over control of the airport in May 2014, which left it in Ukrainian hands. The new battle was sparked despite a ceasefire agreement, the Minsk Protocol, that had been in place from 5 September. At the start of the battle, the airport was the last part of Donetsk city held by government forces, and it lies between the separatist and Ukrainian lines of control. Heavy fighting over the airport continued into the new year, with some of the worst fighting having taken place in January 2015. On 21 January, DPR forces overran the government's positions at the airport. The remaining Ukrainian forces were either killed, forced to retreat, or captured.

its funny when a Ukrainian officer was asked why they retreated from the airport he said there was nothing left to defend so they left...even today the southern half of the airport is still under ukrainian control not even the russians hold the rubble that is the new terminal.
Sadly the Ukranian Cyborgs were crushed by the floor that was blown up by the DNR and Russian Military.
indeed it was sad and disturbing to watch the pows have to dig threw that rubble and pull out the corps of their fallen brothers :/
Only animals could order them to do that.
i was in Mariupol end of may
