Using neural network upscaling and manual editing, this mod enhances the classic Blood experience with new visuals

Post news Report RSS Announcement: Blood Upscale Pack v.2.1

A new release? About bloody time. The upscale pack lives again.

Edit: It's out now

It's been more than a year and a half since the release of v2.07 of the Blood Upscale Pack. Since then much has happened, including the introduction of a new source port Raze (based on NBlood), Dzierzan released his and I released the Enhanced Resource Pack for Duke Nukem 3D

The ERP for Duke Nukem was the first upscale mod to use indexed hightiles in a Build engine game. V2.1 will adopt this feature as well. This means the initial release will be limited to the Raze and NBlood ports. A separate version for BloodGDX may come later. Fresh Supply can not be supported for architectural reasons.

Rather than having sprites, background textures and Smoothblood as separate packs, v2.1 will merge them in one download. Further, care has been taken to make this easy to combine with the popular Voxel pack.

Almost all of the background textures have been upscaled again with new methods, and to assist with this Necrobitz has allowed his XHD texture pack to be used to augment existing upscales.

My plan is for a release before the end of the month.

Only the regular voxel pack is supported out of the box, but you can use Coagulated if you take the contents of Blood.def inside that pack and paste it into Blood.def in the root folder of the mod.
