This simple mod replaces a bunch of cultists' voice lines and pain sounds in CULTIC with the equivalents from 1997 Monolith Productions game BLOOD.
Why?
Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the original sounds in CULTIC - I just find this hilarious. Even though the BLOOD sounds have lower quality, it's worth it.
INSTALLATION:
===================================
- Extract the archive into the "CULTIC_Data" folder, which is wherever you installed CULTIC. If you have CULTIC on Steam, it's usually in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\CULTIC".
- Run the "install-bloodcultistsounds.bat" installer and wait for it to finish. It should display a black commandline window with a bunch of installation-related messages. The installation might take a minute or two. It will say "Done. Press any key to continue..." at the end.
- Run the game as always.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
===================================
- You might need to run the installer again each time the game gets updated. So whenever the mod stops working, just run the "install-bloodcultistsounds.bat" again.
- If you run into som problems during the installation, make sure you're running the installer from the "CULTIC_Data" folder.

Hey man, awesome mod! Would it be possible to tweak it a little bit so death sounds play even when cultists die by headshots? Since I kill them mostly with these, I can barely hear their iconic screams. Thanks!
