The 1870's was an exciting time period of the world; the French and Prussians went to war over German unification, the British Empire faced troubles in Africa and India, the American Civil War left the country in turmoil as she sought to push further West over Native land. Blood and Iron was originally created for the Mount and Blade Napoleonic Wars DLC, changing the setting from the Napoleonic Wars to the late 19th century between 1870-1880. The mod started by focusing on the Franco-Prussian war, and then expanded to include British, American, Japanese and native Americans. It was a multiplayer only experience, and featured battles of up to 200 players. We want to bring back Blood and Iron to Bannerlord in its original form as a multiplayer experience featuring the dominant nations of the 1870s, but with the updated graphics, engine and features of Bannerlord. We are announcing the mod now, however until Bannerlord's modding tools are released expect that development will be slow

I recognize those images. They're from the Blood and Iron mod for Warband. We miss you, ExParrot2. I hope the ending of RWBY didn't disappoint you too much. I remember how you loved that show.

With the skeleton editor for Bannerlord, we could get to see proper reload and firing animations, perhaps even an ironsights mode. Loved your mods for Warband, and highly anticipate seeing them revitalized in Bannerlord! :)

Im so exited for this mod i think it will be my fave! In your last mod (for warband) you had cantinieres, will you be adding them in this one?

also If your adding africa please add dahomey & ashanti as minor factions, they both fought the french & british during the late 1800's. And if your including dahomey please add the agoji women warriors (dahomey amazons).

PS - are you planning on doing a single player version? I hope so XD

We will include the Cantinieres in this version too, they're too interesting not to! We'll see how the factions play out, our focus will be on the main factions from the Warband version (minus Japan for now), with the possibility of some PvE focused factions that allow for some mod overlap/merging (like Zulus for an AZW experience)

For a single player version, I'll be building a Victorian era single player mod that covers a broader scope: Moddb.com

Would you guys ever consider taking the mantle of the Anglo Zulu Mod to include some part of it? Considering it's setting in 1879.

Will did a lot of work on AZ, so it's pretty much an official sister mod to B&I. It would be a great idea to incorporate the PvE style into this (plus work well with the US vs FN if we could have multiple bot driven nations to choose from, all of which are indigenous populations)
