This mod also works with Company of Heroes and/or Tales of Valor. Opposing Fronts is not required! There are many features that I added, for example: - a much more realistic Weapon damage system - many new skins for infantry and tanks (and wrecks) also including many of my own made tank skins - many new units for all factions - modified and enlarged Commander Trees (now 16 Upgrades!) - new abilities - new sounds - recommended new maps included

Will there be the amphibious jeep as possibly a jeep replacement? DMz made one and released it to the community this morning!

lovely skin. So i take it from the Credits, that it's based off of DMz's Ambush Dot camo skin? It looks totally different, whatever colour tweaks you aparently did really changed it's appearance!

Will it be able to have both the Roof gunner and and tank commander at the same time, or an "either/or" thing where you can only have one at a time?

Hi Lethal,
yes I tweaked around with the colours because DMz`s released skin was a bit to ...plain and didn`t really fit in BK colour scheme. So I carved out the 3 base colours a bit more ;)

It will be able to show both: the gunner and (if boarded) the tank commander!

Sooooooo, what is the point of this? Same speed as the StuG IV, same armour, almost identical dimentions, same gun etc. I seriously can't see how this would fit in.

I've only done it to annoy you ;) Another bad bad german vehicle bloating the allready overloaded axis vehicle pool...

Joke aside: I know that it is nearly equal to the StugIV in many ways but I`ve included it because I know that many BK player will simply love it... It was a main part of the axis tank batallions and it was simply missed in COH! The others will know what I mean ;)

It would not be in tank battalions because it's not a tank, it's an assault gun. The Germans have the StuG IV which is nigh identical, it's like giving the Americans a M4 and M4A1.

Well, in Eastern Front some Stug III was attached to the 501st Heavy Tank Battalion along with the Panzer III to bolstered the destroyed Panzer III and Tigers. And increasingly replacing tanks as they are attached into tank battalion as substitute to replace losses which could not be replace with conventional tank, assault gun like stug iii is not the best solution, but at least a powerful stopgap!

PROkiller16, Well for one thing the stug IV was never converted to the StuH (as far as I understand) and so now the StuH is historically correct, and another reason is because it is super f***ing sexy!

I'm not comparing the StuH 42! I am comparing how they share nigh identical specs. And it looks crapy, I'd go for a Panzer II anyday.

I like German engineering, just when it comes with a turret or isn't a German tank. I think Hetzers are lovely little tank destoryers and things to love, but Marders and StuG don't have an appeal. But you seem to make the point it is being added because it's nice looking.

StuG is one of my fav tanks, It ain't as crap before think. I readed about one Finnish StuG III destroying an ISU-152 and two T-34/85's in row. Later the same tank destroyed an IS tank.

Are you sure it killed an IS? Either it hit it in the side or rear at small range or someone was boasting.

StuG III – Sd.Kfz. 142, 142/1 = 9241 + 173 upgraded PzKpfW III
totally = 9414 StuG III
StuG IV – Sd.Kfz. 163 = ca. 1100
PzKpfW IV Sd.Kfz 161 = 8254 (all versions)

stugs were probably the most efactive german tank destroyers they racked kills like crazy in the ussr lands T34 drivers hated them and were ordered later on not to use face to face rush attacks while fighting stugs lol

Assault Gun. And the T34s had pretty bad armour, it's like a Panther driver boasting a Sherman kill.

One of the main problems of all Russian tank crews was their lack of training. Soviet tank crewmen were mainly composed of draftees while Panzer crews were all volounteers. Soviet tank crews were considered combat ready if they knew how to start the tank, drive it and fire the gun (they were only allowed to fire 3 rounds and one MG mag during their whole training period). However, German Panzer crewmen had up to 6 months of training. Drivers were taught to make independant decisions and to use the terrain, while gunners had to be able to score a number of kills at pop-up moving targets at ranges of 1000m. IMO, you could give the Germans T-34s and StuGs/Pz IV/ Panthers to the Russians and the results would be the same, if not even more advantageous for the Germans.

on top of better tanks Germany had the best radio systems, and the ones who had the idea to install radios in the tanks, Russians did this later in the war but there radios were ****

Isn't that why the early Russian tanks had the crown on their turrets? Because they were 20 years behind everyone else?

I think those "crowns" are either some kind of handle for "tank riders" or MG mounting ring. And by the successful development of hi-performance tanks like T-34 and KV-1, I think the Russians are more than just eliminated that "20 years" gap.

No, I think the Americans are way ahead of Germans in the radio systems. Giving the fact that the German tanks requires a RADIO OPERATOR while the American tank don't, it means that the Allies had the best tank radios in the war (Soviet Union got the American radios as part of Lend Lease Act). ubermenshe is right, it is the crew training that hindered the Soviet tank's performance. The Germans actually captured T-34, and put them in good use, because their training. Even in late war, the Soviet tank training standard was still lower than German standard.

i understand why you say that, but america didnt have best radios for a while germany had the best radios and radio uses until americans made a breakthrough in radio tech and discovered the diode radio

StuG IVs only came into existence after the factories that made the Panzer III chassis were bombed and heavily damaged so they turned to the factories who made the Panzer IV chassis to keep up production.

And Stugs were never officially part of the Panzer force. Sturmartillerie belonged to the artillery and all Stug crews were considered artillerymen.

Stugs were primary used in infantry divisions as support and anti tank weapons. Yes having no turret ment that they are not panzers so crews were artilery men... Still stug crews were most decorated because of very good performance on field. Later in war stug crews were proud to call themselves artilery men. My grandfather told me that.
