Hello everyone, I'm hecumarine and today I would like to introduce you all to my new modification called Black Mesa: Military.

In my mod you will play as one of HECU marines named Steven Mills. Hazardous Environments Combat Unit served as one of main antagonist armies in original Half Life as well as in Black Mesa. They are hostile to the player throughout the entire game and you must fight them in the story. The purpose of this mod is to play from their point of view. You will play as one of them and have them as your allies this time. The Black Mesa personnel on the other hand will become your enemy. You are sent on a mission to secure the facility, silence the survivors and eliminate alien forces.

The mod story will revolve around survival of your own as well as your squad. You will eventually get a chance to pull out and escape the facility and even face Gordon Freeman himself ( at least that's what I'm planning to show right now).

I will stick to the cannon as much as possible, which means no weird weapons or enemies. I want my mod to be treated as an addon to Black Mesa campaign, not a total expansion pack. You will have the same weapons used in the main game, with the same models. This decision is made of fear that I will make the mod look too different from the main game which I don't want to happen. Only hands and hud will change. Enemies will remain the same too, perhaps with addition of some Black Ops npcs and Gordon, we will see.

So, when the mod will be complete ? I can't possibly tell, it can take a year, two or many. I've already been making maps for this mod for almost half a year before I created moddb page and I managed to make maps for first three chapters. That's not a lot. About seven maps right now. I will continue working on the new ones and improve the previous over time.

Sure, but the maps aren't that big and single map takes only few minutes to beat, multiple it by seven and you don't have that much gameplay. By the way, it's nine maps right now :D
