Nice, feels like we're in a true war. Just the chopper that seems to be in low res

It really will be a true war. I've already scripted massive battles with multiple npc's at once. You're in for a treat!

As for low polygon osprey, well, this is Black Mesa model straight from the game itself. However it is a distant prop used in skybox on one of the maps. I will try to use crashed osprey npc instead of a prop in the future.

Neat, Can't wait to play it ! Okay, I understand why this Osprey is low res although it's from Black Mesa.

Keep the good work =)

Not sure the Osprey wreck looks wrong on that spot.. Unless it fell 90° degrees down like a stone that impact zone looks odd because of 2 things.

A. The building is fully intact behind it.. An impact of some machinery like that would most certainly damage brick walls aka the house behind it. The shock wave can be very powerful on impact.. I once felt the shock wave of a tank firing his ammo several kilometers away.. Even regular glasses were wiggling next to us.

B. The impact zone itself looks unfinished as of yet.. Why isn't there some sort of crater and burned pavement and fires even? Keep in mind that such a crash site would burn. Pavement and earth would turn into glass due to the heat of the petroleum burning. My main argument here.. Your impact zone looks as this vtol vehicle had 0 fuel left nor speed aka kph-mph left.

Surely you can improve upon that a bit. Another thing I noticed is a typical mapper error.. You're currently mapping a map at daylight but you seem to forget all about the night time... Please add lights, light posts, lanterns or anything similar onto the scene. Whether they're on or off it up to you.. If some guy had to press a button to turn them off during day time he or she might very well be dead.. If it was automated they may be offline.

That tank also looks strangely parked next to that house.. Unless there's an opening next to the house (We can't see on screen) it currently sits on I don't see why that tank would drive so close to the house and turn it chassis in such a manner. It's only a cosmetic error of course and not important and so is the osprey crash site. But it's 2020 and people will notice these things, due to other games and hopefully no personal experience. That being said plenty of dead Aliens and Marines alike laying around there.. Please add blood decals onto their corpses..

Other than that it's a very lovely scene of course.

Yes, it's a work in progress and it will change a bit. I will consider adding some damage to the building behind it, impact zone has some scorch decals placed around the osprey crash zone but it's not visible on screen. However you are right, it's not finished yet and I want the impact zone to be more visible.

I will add lights to that area, thanks for reminding. They will be turned off though, like it was in Surface Tension originaly.

The aliens and marines laying on the ground are actually npcs that were killed in real time, not ragdolls.

Thanks for the feedback!

Sounds good... I wish you best of luck... The latest screenshots surely shows a lot of promise... One last thing. Depending whether it might work there or not.. A 3D skybox with some buildings or cliff formations in the background. :)

The location is feels too "cubic" and more like its a dev-map. I dunno try to add some entrances here and there, street roads etc so it would be more realistic. But as for now its not quite good.
^Plus all sayed above about destruction of the buildings and crash-site.

может стоит добавить новую модель разрушенного Osprey как на картах Surface tension uncut (оригинальная Black Mesa) там ещё сцена с танком и скатом
