I couldn't run this mod. I think it is not compatible with the latest version. Which version of the game should I use?

The instructions say to put gameinfo.txt into common/black mesa/bms, then
put all other files into 'common/black mesa/hl2ext'.
First, there is no 'hl2ext' directory under 'black mesa'
Do you mean put them into the 'hl2' directory, that has
mostly hl2 vpk files in it?

Also, has *anyone* run HC:AD using Beta Black Mesa 1.0 ?
That is what I'm running now and I can't seem to get HC:AD
to run.

Exuse me.. but is this a mod for black mesa fan made or steam version? cause in the folder - X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\hl2\custom - I don't have custom!! My version is steam version of black mesa. I did exactly as it is described, but on the main menu doesn't show up " hazard course" ! I've tried also start from the console, there aren't no maps from HC!! I'm sorry, but this guy Jarekblooddragon has absolutely right! It doesn't make sense!! So many modders are able to make standalone mods, and the players simple put them in source mods. This should be possible also for Black Mesa!! I've played almost every mod and map from half life, many of them i fixed myself.. but this is nonsense! Make a simple and understandeble instructions, or is it too hard??

Bolex, I'm having trouble with HC:AD also. I put the gameinfo.txt
into 'Black Mesa\bms also, and the rest of the files into
'Black Mesa\hl2\custom' (I seem to remember having to create it...)
and HC:AD still doesn't show in the BM main menu or in the
workshop menu. I can load map hc_t0a0, but it loads it from the
HC that is pre-disaster.
I'm now trying to remove the original HC to see if that helps.
I'll post results here.

It should work. Others like that start the mod and play right? In the written instructions all step-by-step method , and separate reasons for not starting a trend or a game crash. You do not have one makes you play this mod installation is complicated , Yes, but sorry the new model textures , NPCs that do not even have in the official game , in order for all this to work you need to sweat a little. In General, problems with the installations there was no one that you have I don't know , just bugs well the game crash in extreme cases and they are very rare.

Ok, finally I've got it. Way easier just go to steam/community/workshop - get abbo and it download all the files. It would be very useful if you said to create a new folder in - X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\hl2\CUSTOM!! I did not just replace Gameinfo.txt file, I saved the original and then pasted the new one in bms folder. You could say to the players to read your Gameinfo.txt file, it says that black mesa + mod would be starting, from the custom folder. I appologize if I was a little bit heavy. Anyway, maybe for you russian guys it's easier to communicate, but make a little effort to translate your replies on english. By the way, I'm a Serb, so I know how hard it is to use english. Many greetings and live prosper.

I'm sorry... but you translated your russian reply in google translator.. it doesn't make sense to me. In other mods are plenty new models and NPCs.. still all of them are perfectly playable. From the instructions i see it's coded for steam version of Half Life.. i explained there is no: X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\hl2\custom - folder! Whatever.. I'm gonna try to get more infos from the community. I stay with my statement, the installation instruction make no sense.
