Initially developed and released by Gearbox Software in 2001, second Half-Life add-on, Half-Life: Blue Shift is a return to the Black Mesa Research Facility and another look at the Incident's consequences from the eyes of Gordon Freeman's best friend - Barney Calhoun.
In 2012, Crowbar Collective has delighted Half-Life fans with release of the magnificent Half-Life remake, but there are still no released remakes for add-ons. This is when we are coming in - HECU Collective are developing the Black Mesa: Blue Shift - a free remake with use of Black Mesa resources and style. We will try to stay as close to the original Blue Shift and Black Mesa as possible. Our mod will be releasing partially, chapter by chapter, so those who are not patient for the full release will finally have something to play!

Great day, everyone! We're back with some exciting news about Focal Point!
For those who missed it, in our previous post, we shared two new screenshots featuring thrilling new locations. And for those who have already enjoyed them to the fullest, let's move forward.
For the first time in a while, we've decided to not just showcase screenshots, but treat you some gameplay footage, revealing the richness and unique visual style of the Blue Shift's fifth chapter remake!
As you can tell from the title, our team participated in an interview with LambdaGeneration, where we delved into many technical aspects of development, shared exclusive development screenshots, answered your questions, and unveiled a secret about one of the new monsters you'll encounter in our version of Focal Point!

Єдине, що на сторінці розділу 4 досі немає, я маю на увазі саму повну главу. Фабер, будь ласка, скажи мені, що ти готовий на 99 відсотків. Я хочу мати можливість продовжити історію Барні. Я втомився стільки разів повторювати оригінальну гру. У них погана графіка, а реалізм дає більше життя, ви чудові розробники. що б не сталося, я закликаю вас прискорити процес і вийти якнайшвидше. Процитую Гейба Ньюела: "Такі проекти потребують більше часу". Як людина яка працює з цим двигуном, можу сказати впевнено - це не можливо зробити швидше без великої команди. Можу тебе порадувати - в грудні ми дійсно побачимо 4-тий розділ, я б тільки порекомендував більше пісімістично відноситись до якості яку ти побачиш, щоб або зрадіти ще більше або не отримати травму :). Мене дуже вразив Black Mesa Azure Sheep Part 1 (до речі якщо не грав, рекомендую, неймовірнне диво), я вже боюся щось очікувати від другої счастини, бо в свою чергу боюсь розчарування. Тому сидемо, чекаїмо, сподіваємось.
