Hello i have a problem to report. Cant save game the game crashes
90% of the time the way to fix this is by deleting the blackice logs folder in user/documents ( make sure its blackice and not vanilla)
If that doesnt fix it, there is a thread on the paradox hoi3 blackice forum where people have posted their various fixes for save game crashes. It tends to vary for each person depending on their system, so what works for one person doesnt work for another. About half the players have the save game crash problem. No one on the dev team has the issue. So its up to you to find the solution.
ohh i will have to get hoi3 their finest hour
PANZEROO Im getting no folder thing in armor tech upgrader why any way to solve this thx ?
sounds like an install conflict. Reinstall, make sure to first manually delete the Black ice folder in TFH/ mods and the mod laucher in the main directory.
Do you have a link to version 8.5? Just because I cant seem to find it on the Moddb page
Actually no worries, I've found it, thanks Panzeroo for your hard in work in making this mod btw, and keep it up! :)
Actually, what is the checksum for 8.5?
Two things,
1) What are the specific uses for seaplane tenders in game? They are slow moving, slow to build (a bit expensive too!), and are of apparently limited utility. About the only use I see would be as a part of the convoy escort pool. They low speed makes them useless otherwise.
2)Are CVE's modeled in game? Allied CVE's were usually modeled off the Liberty ship hull. They were slow, but cheap and quick to convert for use.
seaplane tenders are basically early war/ backwater theatre sea recon units. They have high detection ability so can function as scout units in a fleet. Problem is they are weak and slow and almost obsolete. If you have CV and or good radar techs the seaplane tender will be obsolete. They might work well in battleship fleets and perhaps convoy escort. Essentially they are a slow ship which maintain and supply a squadron or so of flying boats.
CVE are in the game and are a potent ASW ship. The catch is they don't use CAGs and instead have high ASW and detection ability. There is a late war tech which can add a CAG to them( to represent the late war US CVE which had some limited carrier strike ability)
Btw thank you for making such a brilliant mod keep up the amazing work
Some more items I've discovered while playing as Japan:
1)Japan starts with the 4 Kongo class battlecruises, one of which (Hiei) was deactivated under the terms of the Washington Naval Treaty. It's an active unit from day 1.
2) An event fires which allows you the option of reactivating the BC Hiei and modernizing her like her sisters. When complete, Hiei becomes a type IV BC......but her 3 sisters are all type Is.....somethings not right there.
The queen elizabeth BB's are all the same when Queen elizabeth,Warspite and valiant were refitted just before war :)
good point. Will look into it.
ok thanks. Changed the rebuilt Hiei to use the same model level as the other Kongo class ships.
One more matter involving Hiei.....rebuild cost in event states 1.5 IC for 2 years. In game it costs the same as buying a new ship of an obsolete type (Type I BC) at 6.49 IC. Would be helpful to fix that as Japan is rather IC starved compared to other major powers.
that is a result of the game using the capital ship practicals to adjust the cost, can't do alot about it as its how the game engine works.
