Please beware this is an alpha version of BICE. It may contain more bugs and balance issues then usual. At this point we have tested it enough to establish there are no critical problems and play balance is generally fine.
To install remove all previous BICE files, including the black ice folder in user/documents. Make sure you have podcat's TFH exe overwriting the TFH exe in the main HOI3 directory.
Place the installer in the main directory and run.

its a modified TFH exe which is owned by paradox. They want you to register your TFH exe in order to gain access to the modified TFH exe which they made.

it is owned by paradox so you need to register your TFH expansion and HOI3 game on the paradox forum to gain the exe. Basically paradox modified the TFH exe to allow more then 2Gb system memeory to be used by the game. Paradox want to see you own TFH before they hand over the exe. We can't link it here for obvious copy right reasons.

you need to register your TFH expansion on the paradox forum. We can't hand out an exe to their game.
Hey is there anyway to mod this so I can tech up planes and carriers for custom game mode? Really annoying that is blocked as sometimes I just want to **** around.
not unless you completely changed how those techs are arranged in BICE.
I found that there is a huge difference in IC-cost for building infrastructure between the original hoi3 and black ice, it cost a lot more in the black ice mod. It is intentional or just a bug? It is pain for some countries like china to upgrade its infrastructure with such IC-cost.

Game works fine until i try to save, always crashes,
try deleting the systems log folder in the user/documents/....blackice folder.the logs files get recreated uniquely each time your computer runs the game. It seems to be the main casue of CTDs, esp when saving. You can safely delete the entire black ICE folder in the user/documents if required. The game will recreate the folder and rebuild the map cache. This should be done fresh with each new version
Keep getting errors in the technology screen, overlapping tech boxes, and when researching some techs (infantry, armor 1) they will never update to the newest versions (stuck at 1918 on small arms)
you have a borked install.manually delete the blackice folder in TFH/mods, the mod launcher and the blackice folder in user/documents. Reinstall.
You should do this with every new version of the mod
oh so like when you download the the mod and get it is there a folder that says tfh and i gota open it
the TFH/mods folder is in your HOI3 game folder.
Hi Panzeroo! love your mod but for some odd reason I can't get it to work with AHOI widescreen mod. It worked with earlier version of the mod
BICE won't work with other mods, and its already got widescreen GUI built into it.
What is the map cache ?

if your computer is unable to generate the map cache when you first start the mod, you have to place the map cache in user/documents. Only certain players will have this issue

BlackICE 8.0 crashes at "Loading Databases II..." with an unknown exception (Unknown error while loading files). Happened on a clean install of HoI 3 (2014 Collection from Steam). Any hint on why it does that and how to fix it?
Fixed it myself through further research: game lacked 4GB support. Couldn't find that already fixed .exe some where talking about so I used 4GB patcher from NTCore (http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php).

I have a trouble when I switch on a mod. Everything is good to the moment when on the screen appear an information about DATABASE II. After that the game is crashed and appear information - UNKOWN LOADING FILE....

Recently, because of something I reinstalled my Windows. But when I installed the mod, I'm stuck with "Loading databases ii" and crashed with "unknown exception".
Previously, I use 64x windows and now I'm using 86x windows.
