Remember Birdie? He is no longer lost! This mod replace the Hell Knight mesh and textures by a slightly modified version of Birdman by Kenneth Scott. It doesn't contain any Doom3 files but i use the same file structure to reuse the original animations. All the credits go to Kenneth Scott, id Software and Doom 3 for their fantastic work. File versions: pak666_Birdman_HD.pk4, pak666_Birdman_Vanilla.pk4 (Use this if you have performance problems) Installation: Put pak666_Birdman_HD.pk4 or pak666_Birdman_Vanilla.pk4* file in your Doom 3\base folder. *You can't have both at the same time because they use the same naming convention. To uninstall delete the .pk4 file. In the Read me.txt you can find both Kenneth Scott original model links and my contact information.
Release V1.0 is almost ready.
I have decided to release only the HD version this time because the Vanilla version is gonna need a lot of job do be done correctly.
Later in V1.1 i'm gonna release the Vanilla version (included with any change or fix to the HD version).

Awesome model. I'm going to include vanilla version in D3HDP as optional replacement for HK. Maybe you can reupload and include birdie_eyes.tga also in vanilla model assets, all players can't see glowing effect for eyes.
Also HD version won't work on dhewm3, it crashes everytime. Strange.
Wonderful to see new high quality content for DOOM 3, thank you! Were it up to me (or I had the required skills myself) at a different scale I think Birdie would have made a great Imp substitute - he looks agile.
It was my original idea but i didn't go with it because of the legs joints.
With more time i might do it because i'm gonna need to redo the animations for the legs.
