Amazing, it's like a totally new game! I haven't came across any bugs yet.
Thank you. I wanted it to a be the next "expansion" to WC3.
wow this looks really cool, I'm definitely trying this one now!
Thank you! If you have any suggestions please let me know.
no read me included? where to put the files of campaign?
It's not a campaign. The map files go in your map download folder.
Hey Kam, I seem to have run into a problem. Playing as the Humans, I can't seem to build the Arcane Sanctum. I can select it, but when I place it the Villager trots to the location, but doesn't start constructing it. Any idea what might be the problem? Thanks! :)
Another thing is that when playing as the Lost, I can't seem to hire any of the Tavern heroes because apparently I don't have an altar. Haven't noticed any other bugs yet so far.
OK, after I deleted the maps and unzipped them again, the previous problem with being unable to build the Arcane Sanctum is now resolved.
Anyway, the Warthog's Strike research is named as Inner Strength, but when research is complete the name displays properly. Didn't manage to check the ability's name on the Warthog itself.
Also, the Orc Blaster doesn't seem to be able to do any damage to enemy buildings. Not sure if it worked out for enemy units, but when I ordered 3 of my Blasters to attack an enemy building, they dealt no damage.
That's all I noticed so far. Hoping your next release will be out soon :)
New report: the Lost still has an issue with hiring Tavern Heroes; no Altar is detected, even after building an Altar of Overseers. Is this intentional or a bug?
I've also had instances where the game crashes right after I click OK at the Score Screen. "The instruction at '0x6F479BD1' referenced memory at '0x0000000C'. The memory could not be 'read'." Any ideas what that might be? Thanks :P
Thank you for the feedback! I will look into it. The score screen crash has plagued me for a while. It's not reproducible so I have not been able to find out exactly what is going on.
Thank you for providing me this feedback!
'Not reproducible' meaning it's a random occurrence? Could it be a memory leak?
BTW, I also noticed that the Lost have to deal with Upkeep while the Humans and Orcs didn't seem to have that problem. Can I know what are the Upkeep levels for each race, or are they all the same?
Anyway keep up the great work. This has been quite a fun experience compared to the usual WC3 fare :)
They all have upkeep, you can hover over the upkeep in the upper right and it will tell you the numbers.
What map did you play on?
Yeah, you're right. I guess you set the upkeep levels to higher values, cuz when playing as the Naga my upkeep became 'Low' at about 120 or so. I can't recall which map; I think it was Typhoon.
well dumb question , but how to install ? p.s i'am a noob
You only need to put the maps in your download folder. =)
well that was easy
:O awesome
Thank you!
This looks nice ! going to reinstall WC3 today to give this a shot.
Thank you. Avoid Severed Isles as I forgot to update the gameplay constants in the last update.
Here's a small review of my experience playing the human race : the maps somehow force you to use naval units, even though there are only three ( and one is a transporter ). The AI doesn't attack me, drop units or anything - I've been exploring the tech tree then I gather a large army and simply run over him.
Some powers are extremely overpowered - others are the opposite, the same feels about the upgrades. The battleship's bomb power is something I have abused without shame and simply owned everything in seconds.
This is a nice mod and A LOT of effort has been put into it - but a much much better spending of your time would be to recreate the warcraft 1 and warcraft 2 campaigns as playable inside War3. I'm sure A LOT of people would play those ( including me, and I'm very picky ). Will play the other maps/races later but I don't see myself playing this for a longer time, ty for the mod, best wishes :) .
Ok, this a noob question probably. I just reinstalled TFT after finding this mod and patched it to the latest version, then installed the maps in ...\Warcraft III\Maps\FrozenThrone\Mods\BeyondTheThrone directory.
I can see the directory when I try to find the maps in-game, but the maps themselves do not appear. What am I doing wrong?
