Hi everyone,
So it's been a long, long wait since the last release but I am almost ready to give you the latest version of the mod. The work I'm doing to it should be finished today and i will upload it sometime tomorrow. This mod includes a bunch of new stuff which I've covered in the articles but here's a list of the main changes:
- New Cylon Hero, Scar.
Scar is coming to the mod as a hero squadron lead by the legendary raider himself! This squadron will be a tough, hard-hitting group of veteran raiders that are more than equal to the best of the Colonial Viper pilots.
- New Colonial Hero, Battlestar Aurora.
A veteran Jupiter class battlestar which has retained it's full wartime layout and been progressively updated over the years to include new Colonial technology such as missile jamming fields.
- New Explosions! So all new explosions have been introduced to the mod thanks to Jeroenimo who recently declared that all of his mod content was free to use. These Beautiful explosions really add to the mod and truly titanic ones accompany the death of capital ships.
- New Colonial space station. Another model from Jeroenimo's mod, this space station looks much more fitting for the Colonials and also features turrets on the upper surface.
New units! The two new Jupiter class variants and the Sleipir class will be featured in the mod
There's a bunch of smaller changes in the mod as well such as alterations to Nukes to make them more balanced and fair to both sides, tweaks to unit health and regeneration factors, new icon pictures for some ground units and other stuff.
Now I dare say that some people may be disappointed at this update seeing how long it took to come out. All I can say to that is that while it may have been close to a year since the last update, what I am releasing is not a years worth of work. I've stated why this is so before and ask that you be understanding.

this looks like you´ve fixed 80% of that what i wanted :D
10% The new Mercury class Model
10% The Imperial Stormtrooper and few Imperial Models
But when they are fixed, i wont ever need another mod :D
New Mercury, Odin and basic Jupiter textures will be coming in the next few weeks :)
Sadly I don't have a timeline for replacing the remaining Star Wars units due to my lack of a 3D artist

well i have played already, but how can i build the B&C Galactica`?
Skirmish or GC? It should be in available in both
oh ok i thought that when i saw the picture "B&C Galactica" i thought that that would be Adama´s ship but its the subclass... alright :D
Ah, yeah I've kept galactica with its classic look as that fits with the canon of the time
But another thing, i liked the other Menu Battlebackground more :D

the battle that went on when the old version was installed and you chose what you want to play ( Singleplayer,Multiplayer,Options,Back to Windows), it looked cooler than the new one
Is there a reason why you can't use the full range of colonial ships in galactic conquest?
You have to steal the technology from the Cylons by sending Bartar to a cylon planet, klick steal and then you can select which ship you want... you can do that about 6 times
It's one of those features I want to ditch as well.... having either side stealing technology from each other to advance is silly. I'm hoping to rebuild the Colonials with an empire style tech progression at some point.
I wonder how using the Consortium defiler missions for the Cylons would work out. Seems like an easy fit given that is what the Cylon models are meant to do.
well it has been quiet around the mod since the last month, how´s it going? XD
Well the Colonials now have normal tech progression, I've fixed some of the bugs (ground explosions work now), the balance has been overhauled and I'm working on new icons and GUI.
So, progress!!
and what about the Mercury class remake?
Mercury, Valkyrie and normal Jupiter texture remakes are in progress. Jeroenimo is a busy modder but he's getting it done. Hopefully next few weeks.
One thing that i am asking is sometime when i clicked on a Ship it showed me a name like Acropolis, but its gone now. Could you bring it back that some not-hero units have names?
I didn't realise that was missing. I'll fix it
