
What was initially conceived as a mod to introduce X1's Remnant to Battlefront 2 using assets from FRD's cancelled game gradually evolved into a general post-Endor mod. Battlefront II: Expanded - The Post-Endor Era strives to provide an expansion to the base game with new models, vehicles, weapons, and maps representing the different factions of that time.
With the eventual aim of covering as many factions and unique bits of content as possible, the initial release of Battlefront II: Expanded - The Post-Endor Era will feature four major factions:

Not everything in the first release will be what I want it to be or what it should be. There are more maps I want to support, more units and heroes to add, more factions, more of everything. There will be bugs, imperfections, and components in dire need of improvement or tweaking. However, I feel it is for the best that at the least some version of the mod is made available for play at this time, as I will have little time to work on it in coming months.

PSA: I've received reports of some of the AWARD Weapons not being disabled properly, so that's something I'll patch whenever I can get to the next version, but for now, I recommend users do one of the following:
1. If you have Anakin's Remaster installed, use Remaster settings to disabled AWARD weapons.
2. Create a new profile when playing on Post-Endor content that doesn't have AWARD weapons on it.

I cannot stress enough, however, that there have been creative liberties taken to flesh out content using assets that already existed or were easily modified. This is for the sake of fun, and for gameplay.

Well, I'll probably write my opinion about fashion, I like the fact that you decided to make a mod according to post-endor and I like the made models. There are no less things that I didn’t like, namely the presence of such a character as Ahsoka Tano, I really don’t understand why she’s there, she has nothing to do with the post endor and looks superfluous [well, I just don’t like her like the rest of tcw 2008] there are really many good characters that would look better there [Mara Jade, Jan Ors, Rosh Penin ...] and if we’ve already started talking about characters, then I have a complaint about ram cotha, which should be blind and dark starkiller, which just shouldn't be [because it's from the alternative ending tfu] and I have a complaint about one unit from remnant, but specifically to Remnant Support Trooper, his design seems to first appear in the new canon, well, I like your mod, I hope you release it.
Yeah I can agree, don't get what's it all about with Ashoka that people want her everywhere nowadays. Seems it's mostly the fans that grew up with the animated show and seem to be more emotionally affected by it and thus like some of its characters more than other people. But since it's a character prominently and first appearing in a motion picture story, more people know her, that can also potentially like her, especially combined with the reasons above.
I get there are some nice mommentd with her in the show, but she seems to be quite overhyped nowadays, especially since REBELS. But she was mostly created for the TCW show as plot device to make Anakin look more likeable and mature, but she also distracted from him, which isn't that great imo. It's sometimes nice to have one more main character, but not when that character doesn't serve a real purpose from the beginning or takes away time that could have been spent on the actuals protagonist's development or using the time to show more interesting aspects and elements to the story and world. But People see to not mind or think different about it.
George Lucas himself had planned to kill her off at the end of the Clone Wars, but only due to Feloni, since it's his favorite, out of a sudden she appeared in that Disney kids show REBELS, and thus the story for season 7 of the clone wars later was cut shorter and rewritten, so it fits with the new Disney canon.
This mod seems supposedly to be Legends focused, where Ashoka doesn't even exists (at least post Endor), since nothing it mentions or shows is Disney canon exclusive but instead has bits that are Legends only. There are actual other strong EU/Legends female characters more fit for this era as already mentioned.
I like that this mod is about post endor since there's only few mods about that time.
And yes, Kota is blind a that time, if he's still alive at all which I doubt, since unlike many other Jedi that were still alive, who gave up their status or title as Jedi or went into exile and lived in total isolation, he was with the Rebel Alliance after he had been broken once and returned with new motivation. At that time he was unwavering and would have only stopped fighting by being killed, which he might have been.
If he's in the mod he should have the proper model, which exists and can be accessed. Btw it isn't a complaint, but a suggestion.
And the remnant support could use the model of one of the other troops with slight changes instead that new canon troop model, but that's a detail I wouldn't really mind as long the mod doesn't start to use more and more Disney canon designs and content, when there's plenty from Legends/EU for an apparently EU/Legends themed mod to use.
Other than that this mod can be really appreciated so far, again it's great that it's post RotJ and uses also somewhat 'lesser' known Legends elements of that time.
Genuinely looking forward to this mod. I saw the article when it was initially released but I've been looking back over it a couple times and it looks better every time. This is going to be awesome and I can't wait. Good work so far!
This looks absolutely incredible. Post endor EU is my favorite era of star wars, so finally seeing this era get some love makes me incredibly excited. Now the question is, plans for space? Seeing the New Republic navy would blow my mind, E wings, K wings, The Nebula etc.
Thank you! At the moment, the two space maps don't feature new capital ships, but for sure I plan on giving the Nebula more of a presence beyond a distant dome model!
